Farin Posted May 23, 2008 Report Posted May 23, 2008 for you Neil Young lovers out there Rockin' in the Free World (Unplugged) ~ Pearl Jam
Farin Posted July 7, 2008 Report Posted July 7, 2008 certainly not better than the original, but nice too: The Guns of Brixton (Unplugged) ~ Die Toten Hosen
_Laurie_ Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 This certainly is not better than the original, but I just heard this version of Reign O'er Me by Pearl Jam today, and I liked it...But of course I love the orginal..... Pearl Jam
Farin Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 ^ Pearl Jam does some pretty cool covers, another one they're doing live regularly is I believe in Miracles (orginally Ramones)
Jugband_Blues Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 Pavement's cover of "No More Kings" is better than the Schoolhouse Rock original, (check 'em both on seeqpod.com).

blind-fitter Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 The Toy Dolls did some great covers. These are two of my favourites, both of which are, I'm convinced, infinitely superior to the originals: "The Final Countdown" "La Vida Loca" This is another good one: whoever said that punk-rockers couldn't play their instruments? "The Devil Went Down To Sc*nthorpe" However, the original was also pretty good, so I'm not about to argue that this is an improvement.
Farin Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 The Toy Dolls did some great covers. These are two of my favourites, both of which are, I'm convinced, infinitely superior to the originals: "The Final Countdown" "La Vida Loca" but it's also worth a mention that being "infinitely superior" to the original versions of these songs isn't that much of an accomplishment
phil Posted July 28, 2008 Report Posted July 28, 2008 The Olympics originated the song Good Loving. Olympics version Rascal's version I think they are both good.

doqmsday Posted August 5, 2008 Report Posted August 5, 2008 I agree completely. Watchtower is one of Hendrix's and Dylan's best songs.
