  7. ok, with alittle imagination, "Hotel winslow-zona", or "Motor Cycle Momma" (if the wife (girl friend) is going too). Simon and Garfunkle's "America" fits the bill..although they dont go through Winslow.... And hey there is a song called "Hotel Arizona" by a band called 'Wilco' And I remember another just called "Arizona" by 'Mark Lindsay', circa 1970....
  8. George Martin.. Pete best could not hold a steady beat very well. Ringo, was a known session drummer, and Martin told the Beatles that he would be used on the records, and they could use Pete as they pleased live... The Beatles agreed with Martin, and Pete was out. J
  9. Yea Ron... after going through a few times, I managed to get 76 of them. I missed all the Metal stuff except Hells Bells..... I played most of those songs at one time or another in many local bands and in the studio as back up. Not having played seriously for 17 yrs, makes me want to get back into it abit. J PS: I would have included "Hotel California" and dumped a lesser known riff.. but thats my opinion...
  10. See how many of these riffs you can identify without looking at the list on his web site. Jim
  11. Read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Moody_Blues Jim
  12. Yea Edna.. So I guess that means I cheated alittle.. Somehow I do remember alot of it.. And, Muzik... The identity of the child born there remains a mystery to this day....I still look into that subject from time to time.. What a claim to fame would that be?... Jim
  13. Hey Steel, I'm with you on that. I prefer the D&D's version also. Jim
  14. Thanks for the links.. They are correct. This is a boot, but a good one. It may have been taken right from the live mix, as there is definite stereo separation, but no ambient delay. Jim
  15. Someone just gave me an mp3 (ALBW) of Jeff Beck, Rod Stewart, and Ten Years after. Recorded live at the July 4 1969 Newport Jazz Fest. This may be a boot leg, I'm not sure. I cant find a track listing anywhere for this album. Anybody got any info or ideas where I might find it? Upon unwrapping the ALBW, it just lists the track numbers. No other info. Thanks in advance..... Jim
  16. The link in above post is no longer valid. Try this one: http://www.discoverynet.com/~barnes/ Jim
  17. Amazing the effect the Beatles had on 4 generations. Thats a good vid. And one talented kid... Thanks for sharing that. Jim
  18. I dont see Tequila Sunrise in that list Shawna. Jim
  19. IMO, The best recordings and performances of : Monster Magic Carpet Ride The Pusher, and Born to be Wild were on the the live album (1970) with: John Kay (lead vocals and guitar) Larry Byrom (lead guitar) Jerry Edmonton (drums) Goldy McJohn (key boards) Nick St Nicholas (bass git) Jim
  20. I must say was not very impressed by the Wall album. However speaking from the stand-point of an Ex road/studio engineer, I will say the Live in Berlin show was one hell of a production. The logistics involved in putting on that show had to be phenomenol. Jim
  21. Supprized they didnt mention "You really Got me", the Kinks. It sounds terrible, but that was by design. Ray Davies got Jimmy Page to play the solo since Jimmy was talented enough to make it sound rough and out of control on purpose. I think it was genius. But the rocket scientists from that rag didnt notice this one. Jim
  22. And here's another: Ana Vidovic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ana_Vidović This girl is fantastic.. Jim
