How Good Of A Drummer was Ringo?
doqmsday replied to PaulEdwardWagemann's topic in Music Discussion Classic
The reason Ringo doesn't get enough credit is because he really had one drum solo. He said he hated solos, so the only one he had was in the song of Beatles solos: The End. -
You're right The Seeker. I didn't go into depth about The Who, but don't worry. If you read the last two words you'll realize who is better. I went into detail about Zeppelin so Zep fans wouldn't be yelling at me.

I've only seen this concert on YouTube, but it was when The Beatles played on the Apple roof on Jan. 30, 1969. You might of heard of it, but if you haven't shame on you and check it out. And for the Nordic tribes, those Vikings are actually "susels".

How about "Cliffs Of Dover" by Eric Johnson ? All right for real now. Let It Be- The Beatles When I find myself in times of trouble Mother Mary comes to me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be. And in my hour of darkness She is standing right in front of me Speaking words of wisdom, let it be. Let it be, let it be, Whisper words of wisdom, let it be. And when the broken hearted people Living in the world agree, There will be an answer, let it be. For though they may be parted there is Still a chance that they will see There will be an answer, let it be. Let it be, let it be. Yeah There will be an answer, let it be. And when the night is cloudy, There is still a light that shines on me, Shine until tomorrow, let it be. I wake up to the sound of music, Mother Mary comes to me, Speaking words of wisdom, let it be. Let it be, let it be. There will be an answer, let it be. Let it be, let it be, Whisper words of wisdom, let it be. Let it be, let it be. There will be an answer, let it be.

I've always liked "Love Minus Zero/No Limit" by Bob Dylan. It goes into the deeper meanings of relationships. "Wait" by The Beatles is high on my list as well.
