I have a hard time choosing between the GNR and the Dylan, just because they're both great in different ways, but I'd probably give the edge to Dylan for writing the genius song.

But nothing beats the original. Such a haunting song. Anyway, did I mention Smashing Pumpkin's version of Landslide? I love that.

As for Blinded By The Light, I think i like Bruce's version better. I love that whole album, especially Lost in the Flood. One cover that I like better than the original is, don't laugh at me , Ugly Kid Joe's cover of Cat's in the Cradle. edit: I just saw the post about Hallelujah I really love the John Cale version of that! It was on an album dedicated to AC/DC for rockin the world like no one else can! All songs are AC/DC covers, but this one is the one that sticks out for me. Of course, I'm a big fan of Motorhead as well!

I've seen him play many times, but the one I remember most was in NYC and he played with Muddy Waters. It was probably 1980-81....Muddy died a year or so later. Everybody was in fine form that night. Sidebar: I went to a bar after the show and had a few drinks (No this isn't one of Muddy's lyrics) and when I left the bar I accidently sliced two of my fingers on a piece of glass. The amount of blood was amazing. I spent most of the night in the Emergency Room of Lenox Hill Hospital. 9 stitches.
