Uncle Joe
Hey, c'mon now. After all...the guy did out that TeleTubby. We all owe him a debt of gratitude for that.
pinkstones
Hey, c'mon now. After all...the guy did out that TeleTubby. We all owe him a debt of gratitude for that. I know you're being funny, but there are few people I loathe more than Jerry Falwell. There's a special circle of hell reserved just for him. MuzikTyme
Which circle would that be?

So actually there's 5 special circles of hell for him!

RonJonSurfer
And so's WVU's home opener, against Jerry Falwell University! LET'S GO MOUNTAINEERS! I turned down a Christmas party invitation already. It was for 12/5 the date of the Rutgers-WVU game. Bah Humbug...

The Seeker
Tons of matches on tonight. Really looking forward to that ('specially since Ireland's only playing Cyprus), even though I might have to miss quite a bit of them
Farin
yep, but as far as I saw there are no really 'big' matches (if you're not a fan of either team, I mean) Germany has a day off tonight, so there's 'only' a friendly match against South Africa... Is England playing too? I haven't seen them on the list I was looking at right now
The Seeker
True that, but it'll be nice to see how the rest of our groups fare anyway. I suppose Germany can book their plane tickets already, but we can't all be that lucky England's not playing tonight, but N Ireland are, and Scotland too (kick-off is in a minute or two), and of course Ireland... enough to keep me busy anyway. Farin
okay, I just had a look at the groups and there ARE quite some interesting matches... Ireland vs Cyprus, eg but also Denmark vs Portugal (Portugal (4th of the last World Championships) is on the verge of not qualifying!) or Greece vs Switzerland and a couple others Scotland still has a good chance to qualify too

Tenacious_Peaches
And with one punch, the Ducks lose their chances of a Pac-10 title. Yup. The University of Georgia Bulldogs have their first college football game of the season this afternoon. *sigh* I'll miss Mr. Peaches for the rest of the year. Batman
Now that I think about it, my favorite thing about college football is drinking lots of cheap beer in public, and Blount's suspension will likely have no effect on that. phil
Ouch! Oklahoma loses the game and its quarterback. I bet the the soda pop is really flowing in Provo.
Kevin
Never imagined saying this but maybe football is getting too hard and too fast . Losing your QB in week 1 is just too much , IMO ...
Shawna
My nephew ~ the star high school QB in all of San Diego county ~ was delivered a concussion in last night's game as the result of a late hit. It's so bad it very well may end his football career. It's rough out there.

Lucky
So Merriman is innocent until proven guilty (Tila Tequila?? Good Lord), but the Chargers seem to have an awful lot of this stuff in their past & present. But then again, I guess they all do.
phil
Tila Tequila? I have no idea what happened, but you are a star player for a Super Bowl contender, making millions of $$$$ and you cannot control your lame self at least until the season is over. It's so frustrating to see dog murderers, guys popping opposing players in the jaw and then this alleged nonsense. You guys play a frickin' game. How hard can that be? Kevin
Perfectly put ,Phil ! (Except that part about SD being Super Bowl contenders , but that was pretty funny, though. )
Lucky
absolutely. I can't stand these guys that say "Don't use me for a role model". Screw that, they are a representative for their team and their city, but more importantly for themselves, and their families. You are judged (in life, if not in court) on how you represent yourself. These guys should grow up.
miamisammy29
I probably would have choked Tila Tequila, too!
