TheLizard
I'll probably be getting a paying position as a sports broadcaster soon for Notre Dame men's and women's soccer, and possibly baseball and softball as well.

_Laurie_
My nephew ~ the star high school QB in all of San Diego county ~ was delivered a concussion in last night's game as the result of a late hit. It's so bad it very well may end his football career. It's rough out there. Shawna I'm so sorry to hear this...It's very sad when someone so young has a goal in life and something as scary as this happens...He's young and strong, so hopefully he will recover from this...keep us posted. edna
Some wise people decided that Maradona should be the coach for the Argentinian soccer team... Maradona is a god when it comes to run after a ball but I doubt he's able to do anything else, except coke... So now Argentina might not even get to the championship and that would be the first time in history. Not that I care much after all but anyways... RonJonSurfer
Jeter just tied Lou Gehrig for the all-time Yankee hits record . I'd like to congratulate Derek "past a diving" Jeter on this accomplishment and honor him with the cheer he has heard over and over in his career..."Jeter sucks". miamisammy29
Yeah, Jeter's an overrated d*ck! But, I must admit, it is quite an accomplishment for a player whose former general manager once said, "would never be an everyday shortstop". As for that soccer crap, I think there's a big conspiracy against the United States. I think the world is trying to keep them out of the World Cup. Yesterday, they won but they had to beat two teams at the same time. They had to beat both Trinidad AND Tobago. Now, that's just not fair!
Farin
well, at least you still have the "World Series" all to yourself

phil
Jeter is overrated? Please, stop the nonsense. He's First ballot Hall Of Famer with four rings, who has handled himself with class and dignity his whole career. Plus, he has a social life that is also Hall of Fame quality. miamisammy29
OVER...RATED! (Not as overrated as Kirk Gibson, but still overrated.) EDIT: And, oh yeah, we'll see what happens when ALL the steroid names come out. Edited September 10, 2009 by Guest
pinkstones
Jeter just tied Lou Gehrig for the all-time Yankee hits record . I know I'm beyond proud of him for that accomplishment. It's amazing to think that of all the great players we've had over the years, none had more hits....not even 3,000. He'd be our first. Here's hoping he breaks it tomorrow. phil
That's right. Go Mariners. Cheers to Skipper Don Wakamatsu, who was a teamate of Barry Bonds (the greatest juicer of them all) at Arizona State ( my alma mater).
