CanAm
I certainly wouldn't call her voice wonderful. It's kind of breathy and I can think of many female singers with much better voices. As for her music being uplifting.... :sleepy: That's just my opinion, of course. To each his own.
Levis
Bjork's voice isn't really breathy, is it? It's incredibly powerful.

CanAm
I have, Farin along with All Is Full Of Love. I mean, I don't mind her voice, I just can't say I'm wild about her music. But then, I'm an old curmudgeon. I'm sure she's a very successful artist. And the world would be a pretty boring place if we all liked the same music. I will say that she is definitely unique. Farin
it's perfectly okay that you don't like her, I was just confused that you said her voice is "breathy", which imo is certainly not the case, as Radhi said it IS very powerful... or do you mean 'breathy' as in "she needs a few more bottles of Whiskey" a la Tina Turner? blind-fitter
Well, I realise she isn't to everybody's taste. What I meant earlier was: given the choice of "supporting" Bjork (who is at least potentially capable of lifting the human spirit through her music) or the paparazzi (low-life scumbags who, let's be honest, deserve a good slapping), I know with whom my sympathies lie... So her behaviour may have been out of order, but under the circumstances, give her the benefit of the doubt in the interests of a better world for all, y'know? Uncle Joe
I don't necessarily think of Bjork as a singer but more as a performance artist. She's very talented.
CanAm
I agree. Just because she is a popular entertainer, doesn't mean she should have to put up with the intrusive and obnoxious behaviour of the tabloid vermin.

miamisammy29
1. Ruby Tuesday - The Stones (Their cheeseburgers are a bit overpriced, but the song rules.) 2. Bad Company - Bad Company (One of those rare triples - same song, album and band name. Others include Black Sabbath, Black Sabbath, Black Sabbath; and Talk Talk, Talk Talk, Talk Talk.) 3. Sheena Is A Punk Rocker - Ramones (Not to be confused with that other Ramones classic, Judy Is A Punk). 4. Dreamboat Annie - Heart (No shipwreck here...great acoustic guitar work.) 5. TNT - AC/DC (Rumor has it that Malcolm Young has quite the long fuse.) 6. 6th Avenue Heartache - Wallflowers (Great tune, though I can't help but think of some little schoolboy having his dad do his homework for him.) 7. Tenth Avenue Freezeout - Bruce Springsteen (The Boss at his bossiest!) 8. Come And Get Your Love - Redbone (The band name makes me giggle.) 9. Into Your Arms - Lemonheads (The Lemonheads look and sound a lot like Urge Overkill.) 10. Nature's Way - Spirit (I'm not sure, but I think this song has something to do with the human intestinal tract.)
