Uncle Joe
1-Zombie Jamboree - Rockapella (2000) My favorite Halloween song...great acapela. 2-Art For Arts Sake - 10cc (1976) This band always measured up. 3-People Are Strange - The Doors (1967) Aint they though? Fits the season. 4-Times They Are A-Changin', The - Bob Dylan (1964) Sir Bobiddy Bob...can't ignore him. 5-Season Of The Witch - Donovan (1967) Great song though I prefer the fantastic cover by Vanilla Fudge. 6-Boston Rag, The - Steely Dan (1973) Yes, and Sammy knows exactly where the Sox wore that rag. 7-I Can Hear Music - The Beach Boys (1969) One of the half-dozen or so songs by the BB's that I love. For example, Darlin', Disney Girls, etc. 8-Carey - Joni Mitchell (1971) Joni is quite all right by me. Yessir! 9-Modern Love - David Bowie (1983) [i]Zowie's Dad came to Philly to record this and several other great songs at Sigma Sound. 10-Poppa Joe - Sweet (1992) Ay yo! Drinks are on me. miamisammy29
1. Salt Of The Earth - The Stones (Classic Stones ballad, with Keith and Mick alternating vocals...and Keith, Mick and Axl on the live version! Cool!) 2. Electric Funeral - Sabbath, man! (Geezeeeeeer!) 3. I'm Shipping Up To Boston - Dropkick Murphys (I love this one, especially when Papelbon's coming in for the save.) 4. This Time Tomorrow - Kinks (I still have "Lola Versus Powerman and the Money-go-round" on original vinyl...probably worth a few bucks now. Who knows the phone number for E-bay?) 5. Boston Rag - Steely Dan ("Tell all your buddies that it ain't no drag.") 6. Chestnut Mare - Byrds (Wasn't this one nominated four or five times already, and it still didn't make it. Good tune, but come on, enough already.) 7. You Dropped A Bomb On Me - The Gap Band (The second best funky disco song ever released, only second to "Let It Whip" by the Dazz Band.) 8. My Favourite Mistake - Sheryl Crow (I gotta give her credit; the chick can rock, man!) 9. Lies - The Stones (Probably my least favorite tune off "Some Girls", but good enough for a nine in this Ten.) 10. Zombie Jamboree - Rockapella (These guys make the Wiggles look tough.) Would you credit it? I could have sworn I was just a kid when The Sweet rocked my world with "Blockbuster". Those costumes look pretty "early 70s" too. I'd say 1972 would be nearer the mark..
