What originally made me go out and buy Echoes last year (Pink Floyds Greatest Hits) was hearing Comfortably Numb covered by some local band. I had heard an awful version of Another Brick In the Wall part II before that but it was a very horrible version.

The first Pink Floyd with Syd I heard was Arnold Layne and remains my favorite Syd.

They arn't my favorite group but they are my favorite group making music right now along with Puddle of Mudd. The first time I heard "Crawling" was like a religious experience. I bought the CD the next day; what a great band.
