The Seeker
The half-Irish half-German American guy who knows little about European football thinks he is happy about this, but isn't sure. Depends on which side you feel more drawn to!

Kevin
What a meltdown in Boston tonight ! You could smell the reek of defeat when Gagne came out - it just clings to him !
phil
Gagne is the reincarnation of Mitch Williams.

TheLizard
My high school football team sucks. My college football team (Notre Dame) sucks. My professional football team (Seahawks) sucks. I hate football right now.

Kevin
I have no problem with Cleveland being in there ; they've put together a good team , have interesting players to watch , haven't won for ages ( ever ? ) and had an equal record to Boston this year . Colorado , though will cause a ratings drop ... if they win , it will leave me with the same sick feeling as when the Carolina Hurricane or Tampa Bay Lightning won the Stanley Cup. BTW , America , could we PLEASE have our Stanley Cup back this year ? You've had it since '94 and we REALLY miss it ... !
Uncle Joe
Sorry Kev, there's not a Canadian team in the league that looks strong enough to win the cup with the possible exception of Ottawa. I don't believe the Senators will do it.
RonJonSurfer
That thud you just heard was a TV exec dropping after realizing he might have to present a Cleveland-Colorado World Series one year after presenting a Detroit-St. Louis. Nothing against any of those towns, teams, or wonderful folks from those areas. But from a TV ratings standpoint...disaster. I think there's enough money going around in MLB and TV to keep the lights on another day.
daslied
Good for Joe Torre, or good face-saving negotiation by the Steinbrenner brood. http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/7349692?MSNHPHCP>1=10539 For the short version - he rejected the Yankees one-year offer. Kevin
Who would like to bet against the proposition that Josh Beckett could have his pick of just about ANY woman ( and probably a few of the men ) in Boston , right now ?
