rtstuff
Actually I thought Elliot was the most impressive based solely on his singing performances. I think he really deserves to go to the next round which means I hate to say it,but I thought Catherine's performance last night was poor. rtstuff

OLD 55
Three words came to mind after looking at the latest lot of nominations, on top of the ones that were there when I left last night: "THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE" ! How can I possibly narrow it down to Ten? I've had trouble in leaving ones I like out of my Ten before, but this time I'll have to leave out some of my all-time favorites. There's just so many of these nominated songs that would probably have made #1 in some of our other Top Tens - with respect to our other #1s. Some of these GREAT songs aren't going to make it (obviously), so don't forget you can re-nominate them. I see a couple of you have done so this time. I'll nominate a couple I mightn't even vote for! Someone else might. Here goes...Just As A Joke.... Achy Breaky Heart - Billy Ray Cyrus Can't Smile Without You - Barry Manilow I DO like both of those. I have wide and varied tastes. (Maybe NO taste ?)

OLD 55
rt, I can't decide which of 4 to put as my #1. There's going to be a lot of good songs "crash and burn". I think I'll even be leaving out Beatles' songs ! I just hope some of the greats that miss out are re-nominated later. Love Story " ( theme from the motion picture ) -- Andy Williams Also titled "Where Do I Begin". Very appropriate Kevin. ................................................. CeeCeeRider just PT'd me her nominations, which I've included above. Thanks Carole and Goodnight ! OLD 55
Thanks very much Carl ! (The Chief). I believe he should change his avatar to a more dignified one such as the example above. What do you think ? Unless one of his children drew the current one of course ! O.K. That List Of Nominations 5 Posts back is updated. A couple of our regulars haven't nominated yet, if they'd like to. We have a bit of time up our sleeve, so I'll close off the nominations about 8 to 9 A.M.(my time) Friday (gee it's great being retired!) and we can start voting then. It's just passing 4 P.M. Thursday here. Of course, ALL SONGFACTORS are welcome, and encouraged, to participate. I'll make a separate Post with our brief rules shortly. .................................................
