1.What music were you obsessed with in High School?

Nirvana and their ilk. Mostly Nirvana, really.

2.What's the last album you bought on somebody's recommendation?

I'm really not good at buying albums on people's recommendations - they have to be given to me!

3.Who comes after Wilco on you iPod?

Willy Mason, Wim Mertens, Windermere, Wir Sind Helden, Wiseguys and A Witness - who are these people...

4.Do you have a go-to karaoke song?

I don't karaoke!

5.Give me a playlist on your iPod.

Sure - it's called 'We <3 MBV' and it's a dozen songs that I find most derivative of My Bloody Valentine's music. I put it together for a writing project and it's the most fun research I ever did.

6.Is there a song that you consider torture to listen to?

Yes, I remember whimpering in pain (out loud, I might add) when an Enrique Iglesias song came on here. I thought Australia would have better taste.

7.What was the last song that made you cry?

Something by the Verve or Highspire - they're the ones who get me.

1.What music were you obsessed with in High School?

Linkin Park were my favourite band through most of high school, but I didn't really pay much attention to music back then. That all changed when I bought Led Zeppelin Remasters in my final year.

2.What's the last album you bought on somebody's recommendation?

I don't remember ever buying an album on a direct recommendation, but Dappled indirectly made up my mind to buy Shine On Brightly by Procol Harum. And I love it!

3.Who comes after Wilco on you iPod?

I don't have much on my iPod at the moment, since I just transferred my iTunes to a new computer without transferring all the music yet. I don't have Wilco on my iPod, but I do have three White Stripes albums in mp3 format (none of which I paid for).

EDIT: Wow, it took me this long to realise The White Stripes (and The Who, for that matter) are before Wilco in alphabetical order, even when you remove the "The". I are so stipud. My first artist after Wilco would be Wolfmother.

4.Do you have a go-to karaoke song?

Most people would say it is Duncan by Slim Dusty. No, really. Though I would love to find someone to sing Bow River with as a duet. I could sing either Barnesy or Mossy's part.

5.Give me a playlist on your iPod.

My most used playlist is simply called "Long Songs". The longest track on it is Providence by Godspeed You! Black Emperor (29:02), and the longest two-track song is Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield (48:57).

6.Is there a song that you consider torture to listen to?

My Humps

7.What was the last song that made you cry?

Music can make me feel very emotional, but it has never made me cry. The song that makes me feel most emotional is probably Supper's Ready by Genesis.

I went from being obsessed with the Beatles to being obsessed with the 60s' Stones to broadening my taste a little... all kinds of 60s music. And Oasis.

2.What's the last album you bought on somebody's recommendation?

I'm the resident spoilsport when it comes to karaoke

A few, and most of them are by Hot Chocolate. Take your pick.
