edna Posted October 16, 2008 Report Posted October 16, 2008 This looks like a desert... I´m worried... where have all the people gone?
Lucky Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 Maybe it's just the Halloween spooks .... but this morning prior to logging in, there was the dreaded red banner "Database Error". After logging in things were fine, so no harm, but just the sight of that banner was enough to scare the bleep out of me.
RonJonSurfer Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 Same thing happened to me. Corrected itself immediately.
Jenny Posted October 31, 2008 Report Posted October 31, 2008 Me too....hopefully, it was a Halloween prank
Jenny Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Yep.....goes away when I login, but I still got it as well
Farin Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 I had a lengthy DB error "for real" now around 11:30am Eastern
Carl Posted November 3, 2008 Report Posted November 3, 2008 Zoiks. Didn't realize this was coming up when you weren't logged in. We found the table that was corrupted, and it repaired OK, but we'll have to keep an eye on it.
Mike Posted November 4, 2008 Report Posted November 4, 2008 Zoiks. Didn't realize this was coming up when you weren't logged in. We found the table that was corrupted, and it repaired OK, but we'll have to keep an eye on it. Carl... "Zoiks"? -you a Scooby fan?... righteous dude... quite righteous!!

Rayzor Posted January 28, 2009 Report Posted January 28, 2009 Martin... do you ever get to SF without an error of some sort? Maybe it's your fault!
Carl Posted January 30, 2009 Report Posted January 30, 2009 We did a little code work the last few days trying to clean up some loose ends, so I'm hoping the database errors go away, but let us know if they keep coming. Good news: the Top 10 list looks like it's updating again and the RSS feeds are working.
The Seeker Posted February 19, 2009 Report Posted February 19, 2009 Was the forum down for anyone else just now? I got a Broken Link message.
The Seeker Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 There was a very short database error just now... only lasted about a minute.
Farin Posted June 2, 2009 Report Posted June 2, 2009 not just on the boards, but on the mainsite as well seems to be a server issue...
Carl Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Hi. The main site has been very slow the last 2 days, and when it bogs down, it slows the boards down as well. We're digging in under the hood to try and pin down the problem and speed things up. The slowness happens mostly during the peak times, which is about 10a-4pEST.
