Red Fish
Great song. It's missed out a couple of times before. Let's hope it makes it this time ! Sure is. That thing's been in my head since childhood, from a bloody Richard Simmons video. Very nice composition.
OLD 55
Yes, there's a lot to that song - it just sounds like being stuck in city traffic. Car horns blowing - even a jackhammer in the background. .................................................. Here's mine. Lady Marmalade - LaBelle (1974) This is the original version - not the Christina A, etc. cover. Massachusetts (The Lights Went Out In) - Bee Gees (1967)
blind-fitter
"Peaches" - The Stranglers A brief tape drop-out towards the end of this clip, otherwise this is pretty good footage of The Stranglers in their element. "Ever So Lonely" - Monsoon featuring the remarkable voice of (a very youthful) Sheila Chandra.
The Seeker
Don't let me down - The Beatles Video Afterglow of Your Love - The Small Faces Video I'm glad Lazy Sunday made it last week. This one is from the same album, and it's even better. Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake is my secound favourite album after Tommy.
Farin
Alright ~ Supergrass (1995) Video A feel-good-hit celebrating youth, from the sound (and video) it could easily be done 1965 Spoonman ~ Soundgarden (1994) Video Inspired by Artis the Spoonman. He's also the guy who plays the spoons in the song and video
OLD 55
Ike & Tina Turner - River Deep, Mountain High. No video but you all know it... You were right not to put the Tina Turner solo version on. It lacks any of the spark of the Phil Spector produced original. Maybe someone can put a sound link on ? I have the song (of course - it's a Masterpiece) but I forget how to link it to here. ..................................................
OLD 55
Don't let me down - The Beatles. A doubled sided #1 with 'Get Back' in Australia. It should make #1 here. Unless Sammy nominates a really good Stones' song.

The Seeker
Slip Kid! One of my favourites. Do I have to nominate at all?
Levis
This song has nothing going for it. No one will vote for it. it's a different country, it's a different style, it's a different language, it's a different race and no one's ever heard of it. I don't care. I will nominate it anyway, because, you know what? It's good! Didi - Khaled I'm giving my nominations in installments, if it's allright.
