RonJonSurfer Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 Today was sweetened by seeing a bright yellow 1969 GTO Convertible (with spoiler)being driven on the highway by a strikingly lovely lady who was old enough to be the original owner. I noticed the car in my rearview mirror as I was entering a ramp from one highway to another. She was driving very slow, so I ducked into the slow lane behind a truck to give her time to catch up and then pass me. I then shot out to the fast lane so I could take in the full glory of that machine as it gleemed in the sun.
Uncle Joe Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 It's fun enjoying small pleasures like that, Ron. Takes you right back to "that" place and time doesn't it?
RonJonSurfer Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 An immediate transportation to my younger days...
Sweet Jane 61 Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 RJ, I need that car to take me to the boardwalk. That is one sweet car for sure!
RonJonSurfer Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 I don't know how she managed to drive as slowly as she was driving...maybe she's too cool to speed. But that's a car where it would be tough to drive 55.
PSYCHOcatholic Posted April 10, 2007 Report Posted April 10, 2007 IM OFF OF WORK!! THANKGOD ALMIGHTY!!!
Kevin Posted April 12, 2007 Report Posted April 12, 2007 Congrats - if that means you got out of the Army reserve ... get a job you lazy , no-good hippie , otherwise !
Tenacious_Peaches Posted April 13, 2007 Report Posted April 13, 2007 Mr. Peaches puts the artificial fructose corn syrup in my Pepsi. He called me to tell me a song on the radio reminded him of me. He is the right combination of best friend and knight in shining armor (or a knight who says "ni"). I love that bastard.
