Kevin Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 Finally ! I can check into this thread ! For some reason NHK played the AFC final with about a 15 minute delay ( maybe cheaper to get broadcast license that way , perhaps ) . I just knew you guys were talking about this game , though , and didn't want to ruin the surprise ! One of the best playoffs games in recent memory for sure - better than most Superbowls , even !
Kevin Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 (edited) This matchup ' makes sense ' this year , though - the most dynamic ( QB-led , not RB led ) offence v.s. the best defence : should be great - I hope ! Edited January 22, 2007 by Guest Musn't forget LT and the Chargers !
Kevin Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 Man ! I bet that WR for the Patriots , Caldwell , is gonna get a few wet towl whips on the ass after this game or at least a few nasty mutterings , if nothing else !
Shawna Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 Reason for edit: Musn't forget LT and the Chargers no, Kev, never forget LT and the Chargers!! what a man, what a man, what a man, what a mighty good man
PSYCHOcatholic Posted January 22, 2007 Author Report Posted January 22, 2007 Ow...my pride... Oooph...my ego... WHY PATS WHY?!
Kevin Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 That'll teach ya for rootin' for them 'Yankees' !
PSYCHOcatholic Posted January 22, 2007 Author Report Posted January 22, 2007 Them there Colts is close to bein yanks... it wouldnt have mattered... Guess i should start rootin for them there titans or sumthin...
Rayzor Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 I'm happy that the two teams I was rootin' for made it to the 'Bowl. Now I am gonna root for the Colts only cuz it's been longer since they won a Superbowl. 30 years or something like that, wow. The Bears haven't won in 21 seasons. Long time for both.
Uncle Joe Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 Man ! I bet that WR for the Patriots , Caldwell , is gonna get a few wet towl whips on the ass after this game or at least a few nasty mutterings , if nothing else ! He looked like a deer caught in the headlights.
Kevin Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 Didn't he , though ?! I've rarely seen eyes so wide ...
Rayzor Posted January 22, 2007 Report Posted January 22, 2007 My buddy was saying that he was on cocaine making his eyes bug out!
TheTallOne Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 I thought it was funny that whenever they zooomed in on him, the announcers were always like "He looks shocked he didn't catch that." I don't think they realized he always looks like a cokehead.
phil Posted January 23, 2007 Report Posted January 23, 2007 Sure...now Caldwell's all wound up, against the Chargers he was Frickin' Jerry Rice. What kind of &$%# is that!!!
PSYCHOcatholic Posted January 31, 2007 Author Report Posted January 31, 2007 Football has heated up and is almost over. Next up...Basketball...any fans? How about NASCAR?!
sadlady Posted January 31, 2007 Report Posted January 31, 2007 college b-ball, not pro...countin' down to march madness!
MindCrime Posted February 11, 2007 Report Posted February 11, 2007 I'm planning on watching the Pro Bowl tomorrow; even though most NFL fans miss out on it; I predict AFC 35 NFC 31 ; with LaDamian Thomlinson as the MVP.
Kevin Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 Yay , UK - stick a feather in your hat for that one . Why don't you go to LA and join the try-outs to ' bend it likr Beckam ' ? Loads of Brits spent a fortune ( old Thatcher money ) to do so ...
c_s_1987 Posted February 12, 2007 Report Posted February 12, 2007 I bet Australian cricket coach John Buchanan is glad he is leaving the job now - a couple of weeks ago he says England is doing Australia a disservice by playing so badly, and now we get convincingly beaten by the Poms. Three times in a row.
MindCrime Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 San Diego fired head coach Marty Schottenheimer, despite the fact that the Chargers had the best regular season in the AFC, just because he lost one playoff game. Hopefully their replacement can fill the shoes & void left behind.
daslied Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 He's lost 13 of 18 career playoff games, refused a longer extension so he could get more money and let most of his staff take other jobs. And the GM hates him. Dead man walking.
Lucky Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 Mark Martin finally after 26 starts comes in second at Daytona! Not a number 1 finish, which he ptobably deserved, but pretty darn good! Kevin Harvick takes the race, after loads of crashes. I really thought one of the Busch boys would get it. Bad luck for all the favorites, all the way around. Too bad for Stewart, Kurt Busch, and Jimmie Johnson, but I'm glad that Martin got so close!! I'm always pulling for my hometown boys, always bridesmaids, never the bride, the Wallace boys, and Kenny Schrader! Great race, all the way around!
Uncle Joe Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 Lucky, what the hell are you going on about?
_Laurie_ Posted February 19, 2007 Report Posted February 19, 2007 Lucky, my brother-in-law and his family were watching this tonight...I couldn't figure out what all the cheering and hootin and hollering was about...I'm not into racing at all...but they are...
