TheLizard
If I've learned anything this year, it's that my Seahawks can always be counted on to blow it.
PSYCHOcatholic
Oh...did the patriots win? Oh, yeah they did...umm they beat that uh team. The Chargers, yeah thats the team. Oh, and arent there some Chargers fans here? I think they are always saying that Chargers are the best and they rock and stuff... Kevin
There was a time , Psycho , - proud Alabamian that you are - when cheering for a 'Yankee' team could get you strung up - or worse !
sadlady
I HATE THE STINKIN' BEARS!!! WHY DON"T THEY LOSE ALREADY!!! sorry about shouting like that. i am a life time, die-hard GREEN BAY fan, and very proud of it, even tho poor bret doesn't have any receivers that can hold on to the ball.... what are your thoughts? will he stay another year to break the records that are within his reach....or will he go? he hasn't had the best luck in life....i hope the best for him, whatever he decides! love and peace
Rayzor
I think that even though Bret could easily break alot of records (the few he doesn't already hold) I dont think it will factor in his decision. Just like money is not a factor. Bret is one of the few "real" football players left, who doesn't perform relative to his paycheck. I think he's going home to be with family, but I want him to come back
sadlady
everything you say is true... he's played and is playing for love of the game, besides the fact that he is blessed with all that talent.. hope he stays.. i love to watch him work!!! Kevin
Hey I love Favre , too , but with the puny money in Green Bay , you're lucky you kept him that long ! As rayzor , said - he's a real player . Green Bay Fans have to be content with a SuperBowl every 10+ years or so . Hey ! You could be Philly and NEVER get one - no matter how much you spend ! Winning every year is for snooks - and the old Montreal Canadiens !
Rayzor
You got that right Kevin!! Only the Habs can win over and over and still be loved! And sadlady, I agree, I love to watch that man work- he's just so good among a team of bozo's.

Rayzor
I'm interested in all sports, my friend! I didnt catch the opening rounds however... too much playoff american football to keep up with. Any early surprises?
Farin
well, I haven't seen any matches yet (Safin vs. Becker is currently on), but it seems that Federer and Roddick had some starting troubles, but they've won nonetheless the biggest surprise is maybe that 4th seed Ivan Ljubicic by American Mardy Fish... Rayzor
I have a feeling Federer will take it all. He's just soooooooo good. As for Andy Roddick I hope he loses the next match 0-6, 0-6, 0-6... I cant stand him I cant find tennis here! Our sports channel probably plays it late (taped)
Farin
ha, one of our Sport Channels, EuroSport, shows Live tennis from 1AM to 3:30PM... and I absolutly agree with both Federer and Roddick

Winning every year is for snooks - and the old Montreal Canadiens ! better double check that old math there...the packers haven't won a super bowl since the 60's... getting there isn't enough any more... when you talk about the super bowl later this year, you'll be askin'... ( so will the people with you) "... hey who won the super bowl this year?" and so will everyone else, just for a short time, granted, but don't you see it? once someone does remember, the next question is..." who'd they play???" correct...? and no one knows.... admit it.... might take too many brain cells to think about for more than a few seconds, then back to whatever they were doing... i can see that playing out in my head... MindCrime
I'm predicting that Chicago & Indianapolis will be the two teams to make it to the super bowl this year, it's a long running feeling I've had since pre-season. My guess: Chicago 21, Indianapolis 6.
TheLizard
Chicago almost lost to my consistently mediocre Seahawks. If they couldn't stop Shaun Alexander who has been hurt all year, I can't see them stopping Deuce and Reggie.
MindCrime
Yea... I'm favoring the Saints; it would be their first winning season & they deserve at least one year in the spotlight.
TheLizard
I'm hoping it's Colts vs. Saints, just because either team winning would be a nice story. Manning would get the monkey off his back, or Sean Payton would bring a crappy team to championship level (and give some confidence to a city that desperately needs it).
