Rayzor
I think that even if the Saints get no further it's still a season that will be remembered. No matter what, they should be proud in New Orleans.
MindCrime
They only won maybe one game last season while playing in Baton Rougue & San Antonio; so they've picked up a bit. I was surprised to see the Steelers fail to make the playoffs, while the Jets just barely made the cut.

PSYCHOcatholic
If it makes up for anything Shawna, i was at work today and had ESPN on and watched a half hour thing on the chargers, and it was pretty interesting. They have had there time in the limelight it seems too. ESPN made me respect them a little bit more!

TheLizard
Schottenheimer will never win a Super Bowl. That's just a law.
MindCrime
On ESPN they had reported that Marty was going to be fired from San Diego as a result of Sunday's game. If so, he'll be able to find work elsewhere, I heard NY Jets are interested in him.
PSYCHOcatholic
Mr. Mike Shula...Don Shula's son has been chosen as part of the small group of coaches for the next Miami Dolphins Head coach.

daslied
Midcrime, Marty signed a one-year extension but turned down a longer one. So he'll be back next year. Being a lifelong Dolphins fan I'm horrified of Mike Shula becoming the coach. Jim Mora, too. Dennis Green, maybe? Sure, the Cardinals stank. But they're the Cardinals. I was hoping for Cowher or Pete Carroll, but they wussed out.

MindCrime
Dennis Green, maybe? Sure, the Cardinals stank. But they're the Cardinals. I was hoping for Cowher or Pete Carroll, but they wussed out. Dennis Green doesn't do a very steady coaching job, IMO. Even with Larry Fitzgerald & Edgarrin James the Cards still had a losing season. It's unlikely that Bill Cowher is going to leave Pittsburgh behind. There were talks of the Dolphins trying to lure Jimmy Johnson out of retirement from his job at Fox. It looks like Miami is going to sign the Raiders coach to a deal. Edited January 19, 2007 by Guest updated info
daslied
Arizona also had a rookie quarterback. Dennis Green did a great job in Minnesota, and even Arizona finished strong last year. Bill Cowher resigned from Pittsburgh weeks ago, and Jimmy Johnson said he'll never coach again. Cam Cameron, the offensive coordinator from San Diego, is nearly confirmed as the Dolphins' new head coach.
MindCrime
Cam Cameron already signed on ; according to ESPN a few minutes ago.
phil
I am pulling for Drew Brees and the Saints to beat da Bears and Peyton Manning to beat those @*%$@3 Patriots. Bitter! I don't think so!!!
Rayzor
Im a HUGE Steelers fan and Cowher resigned a month ago already. Just for the record. Dennis Green, IMHO, is not a bad coach, he just got stuck with an awful team. A 2 year old kid or the greatest coach ever could be there with the same results. When you suck, you suck. Period. MindCrime
I don't think I could sit through another super bowl with the Patriots, unless it's a deja-vu rematch of the Bear's only super bowl, so I'm hoping the Colts find their way to victory. Rayzor
Does anyone think the Colts will actually get any further in these playoffs? I want them to beat the Pats, but I think it's unlikely.
MindCrime
They have home field advantage ; & Viniteri the pats former kicker. Without him, New England never would have won a super bowl.
Rayzor
Yeah, Vinateri is a good kicker, but I wonder if Peton can actually break the Pats "D". I also think the Saints can beat Da Bears easily if they keep Grossman under pressure. Rex is not a clutch player.
