RonJonSurfer Posted March 27, 2013 Report Posted March 27, 2013 I'm in for one or two...whatever is best for the group.
bluesboy Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 I'm having a Margarita to toast the Los Angeles Lakers 33 game winning streak THAT IS STILL INTACT! The Chicago Bulls out rebounded the Miami Heat and snapped their 27 game winning streak with a win. :sing1:
MindCrime Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 I'm not surprised it came to an end, the Heat had a difficult time beating some of the worst teams in the league like Cavs, Magic, and even a double over time against the Kings (future Sonics).
miamisammy29 Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 ...against the Kings (future Sonics). (former Royals)
Lucky Posted March 28, 2013 Report Posted March 28, 2013 Sorry guys, I've been slacking. I'll get a fantasy baseball league up soon. Do we want to do two different leagues like last year, a points and a head to head? I personally prefer head to head but whatever is fine by me. If you decide on two, I'll play both, but if you go with just one, I prefer head to head as well. Thanks for putting it together Rocky!

phil Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 My gritty little Arizona State Sun Devils play Tim's Fighting Irish this week in Dallas. I just hope we hold our own against Notre Dame. Though Tim and I share the same birthday, we are friendly rivals this week. Good luck, Tim.
TheLizard Posted October 2, 2013 Report Posted October 2, 2013 Don't count yourself out yet, we haven't lived up to the hype this year. Again. Still, should be a good game!
phil Posted October 3, 2013 Report Posted October 3, 2013 Take the over in this game, Tim. Lots of points will be scored.
TheLizard Posted October 3, 2013 Report Posted October 3, 2013 Good call, I don't expect to see much defense out there from either side.
Uncle Joe Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 My gritty little Arizona State Sun Devils play Tim's Fighting Irish this week in Dallas. I just hope we hold our own against Notre Dame. Though Tim and I share the same birthday, we are friendly rivals this week. Good luck, Tim. My cousin has a kid in each school. She's torn, of course, but Dad like the Irish.
TheLizard Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Great game, Phil! Just a little bit better for me than for you, though.
Crazy Don Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Well, the Notre Dame game was better than the game I was watching, but towards the end the Mountaineers were trying to make a game of it, although Baylor plastered them 73-42…
phil Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 Just finished watching the ASU-Irish game on tape. Tough loss. We are getting better, but we are not quite there yet. Congrats Tim.
TheLizard Posted October 6, 2013 Report Posted October 6, 2013 You definitely had a greatly improved team compared to just a couple years ago. Should be exciting to watch their progress.
Kevin1429030929 Posted October 19, 2013 Report Posted October 19, 2013 (edited) This is the kind of 'journalism' you get when hack internet writers HAVE to come up with topics for their sites and stats are allowed to lord it over everything else. It is at least superior to a number of Yahoo! sports columns I've read this year going on for 3 or four paragraphs + -and video- which show an ump missing a close call or a player celebrating a play which is far from unusual, etc.,but with a big teaser headline . http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/computer-simulation-says-manning-family-better-luck-family-173345514--nfl.html Edited October 19, 2013 by Guest
Carl Posted October 27, 2013 Report Posted October 27, 2013 Game 2 of the World Series. Sox take the lead on an impressive home run by David Ortiz. All is well until some friends and family start one of those text message conversations about "Big Poppy!" Of course, the Sox blow the lead and lose the game. To this point, the Red Sox had defeated the Cardinals in 5 consecutive World Series games and were winning in the 6th. Now, they may never beat them again.
Carl Posted October 31, 2013 Report Posted October 31, 2013 OK, that turned around pretty fast. After taking 2 games off, the Sox found their mojo and once again used it on the Cards. I am ecstatic about this victory, but as a longtime Sox fan, it feels a little awkward to be winning championships at regular intervals - that's what The Yankees used to do.
RonJonSurfer Posted November 1, 2013 Report Posted November 1, 2013 I am OK with the Sox winning those Championships instead of the Yankees.
