Well, I know "Spanish Stroll" well enough; it seems to feature on quite a few "punk / new-wave" compilations. I've got it on the "1,2,3,4" 5-disc Box set. (The best punk / new wave anthology in existence, as far as I'm aware.)

Whether it's coincidence or not, I don't know, but only about a month ago, when I was out for a few drinks with my mates, a stranger asked me if I would feed the jukebox for him, as he was too drunk to manage it. I agreed to try, asked what he wanted putting on. He slurred something about "any **** round here know who did a tune called "Spanish Stroll"?", which provided my opportunity to be nonchalant, encyclopaedic and helpful all at the same time; an all-round good combo,in my world. I cued up his plays, Mink DeVille first, and he allowed me to use up his remaining credits for my own choices, as a gesture of gratitude.

Eek! Sorry guys ... Due to the fact that we have lives .... we're late, and I'm the desginated postee for the list! We could be in serious trouble here. :D

Nah, never fear. Martin had everything counted up for me, all except for b-f. After much deliberation, and re-checking, I've got the results for you .....

Whew, I'm glad I don't have to do that part evey week. ;) Take a look at the results though. I think there are going to be a few happy happy people. As I said, I had to count b-f and do a bit of reorganization. Mr Fitter's votes changed the entire list, most importantly, the #1. ;)

I like it :D

I'm surprised Breathe got so many votes. Not because it didn't deserve them, it's a beautiful song and one of my favorites. I'm surprised only because I know a lot of the Sfer's don't vote to heavy on the super groups.

I voted for a lot of the songs that made it this week. Nice list
