Shawna
I want to see Wall-E. I think it looks a lot like that movie about 20 years ago with the robot named Number 5, I can't think of the name. "Number 5 is alive!"

MindCrime
Burn After Reading - This movie was so-so I give it a 3/5 :sleepy:. The characters seemed 1-dimensional and the producers seemed to just dump the plot off at the end without tieing loose storylines together, but there were some pretty good parts in there. MindCrime
It's still a good movie to see, but the producers could've put more into it and the writers should've had better character development, they had the right actors to do it. Clara
I saw the Patti Smith documentary Dream Of Life recently. It was very good, although it did drag on a bit towards the end. I admire her even more after seeing it. A brilliant artist with such integrity. Inspiring.
MindCrime
Righteous Kill (8.5/10) Not the best storyline and it had a predctable twist, but Pacino and De Niro made it worth seeing.
Tenacious_Peaches
Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa - 9/10 Hilarious family animated film starring the voices of Ben Stiller and Chris Rock, among others. The penguins, especially the leader voiced by Andy Richter, rock my world. Trailer!

Mars88
My daughter just got back from seeing Twilight. There was no way in Halifax I was going to go see it; she went with her two best friends and they ended up laughing their a$$es off. Is it possible to really enjoy a REALLY lame movie? The main characters were clearly uneasy when doing interviews for Twilight...but I imagine they're laughing all the way to the bank!
Foolonthehill
There was no way in Halifax I was going to go see it what is this supposed to mean about Halifax? yeah twilight seems to be pretty big, but only amongst girls.
Foolonthehill
Fantasia- I hadn't seen it in a while. I'm glad I watched it again. I'll rate it by section: Nutcracker- Really entertaining, a lot better than just listening to it. The visuals add to the dance feel of it. Sorcerer's Apprentice- I liked it a lot, the animation aged well, still visually spectacular. Rite Of Spring- I like the piece a lot, but didn't find the animation satisfactory. The story wasn't all that interesting. Still enjoyable though because of the music. Pastoral Symphony- Another piece I love, and the animation which would be a little cheesy in any other circumstances worked pretty well here. Dance of the Hours- Didn't like this one at all. I don't like the piece, and the dancing african animals were just goofy. A Night On Bald Mountain/Ave Maria- This is definetly my favourite. I love both pieces, and the contrast between them made them even better. The animation was very artistic, and the morning colours in the Ave Maria were beautiful. The end was a little cheesy, a little to much swelling chorus in the sunset. Oh well. all in all a great film
