_Laurie_ Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 (edited) Yes only when on the internet...I'm guessing somekind of connection problem... Edited May 21, 2008 by Guest
Farin Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 (edited) a connection issue shouldn't cause your computer to freeze try if the connection causes problems if you're not doing anything with it, if that works okay, try to do something without your browser... maybe check emails if you have Outlook or something similar PS Spyware might be a cause... do you have something against it, like Ad-Aware or Spybot? PPS that happened to me once: try to see if some program made a pop-up that's hidden under your other windows Edited May 21, 2008 by Guest
miamisammy29 Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 Did you remember to fill it with gas and change the sparkplugs every 100,000 posts?
_Laurie_ Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 Yes, I have Spybot...I ran that also...so far since I did the disk clean-up it's been okay...I'll defrag it later.... And thanks for the help Sammy, where do I find the spark plugs on this thing?
skybluesky Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 Do any of you smart kids, you know who you are, know if you can download content from Sirius radio to input onto an i-pod? I was asked that yesterday and I don't use Sirius so I couldn't answer.
skybluesky Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 I suppose I can check the next time I open i-tunes. BTW Martin, I'm glad to see you knew you were one of the smart kids
Farin Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 I know for winamp radio stations you can download (inofficial) plugins that download the songs that get streamed, maybe something like that exists for Sirius too? one possibility would be an audio recorder like the "No23 Recorder", but with that you'd have to manually start and stop the recording (like recording cassettes from radio )
skybluesky Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 I honestly have no idea. I know nothing about Sirius and I didn't have my computer to go to i-Tunes and explain things. I don't know if she wanted to stream content as she was listening to an i-pod and I don't even know if that's possible.
Farin Posted May 21, 2008 Report Posted May 21, 2008 well, once she downloaded the content, say as mp3, putting it on an ipod shouldn't be a problem, right?
edna Posted May 22, 2008 Report Posted May 22, 2008 You can download music from radios or playlists? Yes only when on the internet...I'm guessing somekind of connection problem... a connection issue shouldn't cause your computer to freeze Laurie, something similar happened to me some time ago. It was a bad connection in the router. I had to buy a new one. It only happened while I was on IE or Outlook.
Viaene Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 is there a word for 'somebody that always know what to reply when you're in some kind of discussion, to a point where that person blocks all your arguments'
Viaene Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 it's more in a positive way, she's more like an 'ad rem instant reply machine'
Levis Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 Oh you mean they have a reply for everything you say? there must be a word... only I can't think of it
Levis Posted May 27, 2008 Report Posted May 27, 2008 There's a phrase for that in Hindi (Urdu, actually) but I can't think of it in English...
Shawna Posted May 28, 2008 Report Posted May 28, 2008 I've never known anyone that smart. My dad comes close, but he doesn't block arguments. He lets you have your say, and then tactfully tells you why you're woefully incorrect.
