MindCrime
Don't be so quick to dismiss TB. I bet you'd dismiss them verses the Phillies in the series though

RockyRaccoon
Phillies over Yankees in 6 is my prediction. Though I would be pretty happy if it ended up being Cards/Rays

Batman
picking Rangers over Phillies in 6 for the World Series. Although what I would like to happen is the Cards beat the Phillies this series, and then the Brewers/D-Backs (but actually just the Brewers, let's be realistic) beat the Cardinals. Not a huge fan of the Phillies...

MindCrime
Apparently Baltimore & Green Bay are the heavy favorites to meet in the Super Bowl, I can see it happening

Lucky
Joe, I apologize up front, but please allow me one good WooooooHooooo! It was a great series, tonight was a great matchup, that played out perfectly, and thankfully had the best ending. Go Cards!
RockyRaccoon
If the Ravens make the Super Bowl I will be so happy. They almost made it but, as usual, they lost to the Steelers. But now the Steelers look horrible. Doesn't seem like there's much competition in the AFC against the Ravens. Only the Patriots really, but the Patriots defense is horrible. They've been giving up points to anyone who wants them. They just score like 50 points themselves. However the Ravens have a good defense and a good offense so they could slow down the Patriots and easily score on them. It would be nice to see a championship come to Baltimore. The baseball season has turned us all into cynics
phil
Interesting MLB playoffs this year. The big boys are falling early. Yanks (ouch) and Phils just came up short. Shuld be fun the rest of the way.
MindCrime
The only team I bet on that won was the Rangers, so I'm at a loss The DBax just didn't seem to have the momentum during the last few innings that showed they wanted the win. Philly looked like they didn't care either during play Edited October 8, 2011 by Guest
RockyRaccoon
I was incredibly happy to see the Yankees lose. No Red Sox, no Yankees, no Phillies, this is my kind of playoffs

bluesboy
I'm gonna miss Carson Palmer coming into our organic grocery store every week to shop with his trade to the Oakland Raiders. Luckily I picked him up in our fantasy league.
phil
Good trade for the Raiders. They have a pretty good team. They could do some damage if they make the playoffs.

miamisammy29
Rangers in six. Carpenter can't pitch EVERY game.
MindCrime
Rooting for the Cards, glad they beat out the Brewers who undeservedly beat my DBax, though just barely. The Rangers are the first team to go to a consecutive World Series after losing the first one, since the Braves in '
MindCrime
First time a team came back to win a World Series game after being behind for the first 8 innings, since the Diamondbacks 10 years ago.
RockyRaccoon
I'm rooting for the Rangers, though I think both teams have a pretty good shot. It'd be nice to see the Rangers win their first World Series. Though if the Cardinals do win, I hope they give Tony La Russa a pair of lips as a reward, being that he doesn't have any.
