bluesboy Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 I feel the Lakers are the team to beat. I like Portland's chances of beating up on Dallas. Oklahoma City might give San Antonio a run for their money. Chicago looks like the strongest in the East.
phil Posted April 16, 2011 Report Posted April 16, 2011 Lakers over The Heat in seven. Red Sox are 2-10! What's up with that?
miamisammy29 Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 The Heat win it all. They were sandbaggin' all year. Nobody's gonna stop them. LeBron wins playoff MVP.
Farin Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 soo... I hear Man City beat ManU at the FA Cup semi finals?
MuzikTyme Posted April 17, 2011 Report Posted April 17, 2011 Yes, one of the teams won! As hard as I try, I don't understand sports unless I'm playing in them.
miamisammy29 Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 soo... I hear Man City beat ManU at the FA Cup semi finals? Yes, the ping pong tournament is very exciting this year!
Batman Posted April 24, 2011 Report Posted April 24, 2011 uh, wow. did anyone else watch the Mavs Blazers game yesterday? Brandon Roy put up one of the best playoff performances ever.
MindCrime Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 This will be the first NBA Finals since '98 that doesn't feature either Kobe, Duncan, or Shaq
Shawna Posted May 17, 2011 Report Posted May 17, 2011 My Jeff told me 2 days ago he isn't going to shave until the Bruins either lose or the playoffs are over or something like that. I thought he was kidding. He's not. He already looks like a yeti.
MindCrime Posted May 18, 2011 Report Posted May 18, 2011 Just got home from the DBacks Padres game. I'm glad my team won by alot after embarrassing themselves last night, but neither team is playing like they stand a chance of overcoming .500 this season.
bluesboy Posted June 14, 2011 Report Posted June 14, 2011 Congratulations to the Dallas Mavericks... The role players were half the victory along with the tenacious Dirk.
MindCrime Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 I dont care to see Lebron James in the Finals again. The way he handled the loss showed poor sportsmanship, possibly the worst I've ever seen in a sports championship game. Congrats Mavericks
RockyRaccoon Posted June 15, 2011 Report Posted June 15, 2011 Same. LeBron is getting on my nerves. Once he joined the Heat I lost a lot of respect for him. Especially once he started spouting off about how he was going to bring a dynasty to the Heat and all that crap. Plus that party or whatever they had that was essentially just him, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh high-fiving a crowd under strobe lights. I guess someone forgot it's about the team, not the player. ALSO, ESPN has annoyed me with the way they've covered the finals. It's all been "the Heat lost", "How did the Heat lose" rather than "the Mavericks won".
bluesboy Posted July 22, 2011 Report Posted July 22, 2011 I think the NFL players should leave the owners flailing in the wind for at least a week before they vote acceptance. And get the union opt-out clause after 6 years not the proposed 7. Just to rub it in a little after that 31 - 0 vote for acceptance by the owners.
bluesboy Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 Congratulations to Cadel Evans poised to win this year's Tour de France tomorrow.
Farin Posted July 23, 2011 Report Posted July 23, 2011 he earned it especially after his performances in the last couple of years, when he didn't win because of bad luck or nerves... also I'm mostly pleased Alberto Contador didn't get close to winning this year
MindCrime Posted July 24, 2011 Report Posted July 24, 2011 I think the NFL players should leave the owners flailing in the wind for at least a week before they vote acceptance. And get the union opt-out clause after 6 years not the proposed 7. Just to rub it in a little after that 31 - 0 vote for acceptance by the owners. I agree, it's just f***ing ridiculous. ESPN got a boner and got excited all over their programming about what undeveloped news they received, when it wasn't even the half of it.
bluesboy Posted July 26, 2011 Report Posted July 26, 2011 The high road at the recent NFL settlement announcement...
bluesboy Posted August 11, 2011 Report Posted August 11, 2011 I still feel the San Diego Chargers are giving lip service to the populace of San Diego about staying and are first on the list to move to Mega - Revenue Los Angeles, once a new stadium is built. We've always been L.A.'s perceived backyard and here's another example.
MindCrime Posted August 12, 2011 Report Posted August 12, 2011 I've been hearing that it's the Jaguars that are supposed to move to LA and the NFL wants the Chargers & 49ers to stay put. Magic Johnson has shown interest in partially buying the team and relocating them to LA.
TheLizard Posted September 4, 2011 Report Posted September 4, 2011 Oh ND football team. Is there no buzz you can't kill?
phil Posted September 10, 2011 Report Posted September 10, 2011 I love My Arizona State Sun Devils. I'm very happy they beat Missouri. BUT, they make every game nerve wracking.
Uncle Joe Posted September 11, 2011 Report Posted September 11, 2011 The first big weekend of NFL football is here. What teams do you think will have standout seasons? As for the Eagles...they have an awesome offense but with a very questionable offensive line. They have strenghtened the defensive backfield though there are questions regarding the safety positions. The D-Line is improved...linebacking young and small but very quick. If the O-Line permits it this team can be a playoff caliber team. We'll see.
