Judo
I'm not sure if the exclusion clause of TT #33 applies here also, (I have the Beach Boys and Simon & Garfunkel in mind) so I'll just play safe and go with : 1. Groovy Kind of Love – Wayne Fontana 2. Guantanamera - Pete Seeger
OLD 55
Hi Judo. No, this Top Ten is an "OPEN" one - only the usual exclusions apply; you, and anybody else who wishes to, are welcome to change their Nominations. I'm looking after this Top Ten as Farin may not be around too much because of Study commitments. We wish him well so he gets great results and becomes Chancellor of Germany one day. TheLizard
1. Barbara Ann - The Beach Boys This song brings back a great memory. Some of my friends and I were walking around town, and then one of the starts up with "Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Barbara Ann". Then another one joins in with a harmonizing "Ba-Ba-Ba-Ba-Barbara Ann". Then I joined in with the falsetto. Soon we were all singing it in awesome harmony. Good times. Goooood times.
OLD 55
I taught my Grandaughter that song when she was a baby. Ba ba ba were probably her first legible 'words'. We always had to have that tape in the car (didn't have a CD player then). Her favorite songs now she's 5 are Tony Basil's "Mickey" and the cleaned up version - hard to find - of Gwen Stefani's "Holaback Girl". That'll be my #2 behind my favorite Beatles' song. It's All Over Now Well, I don't think I'll be voting for Bitch, but that one would get my vote, as would most of their early/mid 60s stuff - the London label recordings.
