CanAm
CanAm - I'm shocked! This is family hour(!) What can I say Shawna? I'm suitably chastened. I can only hope that the impressionable members of Songfacts like Uncle Joe and Old 55 are not too offended! I like your new avatar. My eyesight is not what it once was. Is that Miss Nicks? Drive -- R.E.M. 10. Sunny Came Home -- Shawn Colvin ---------------------------------- * Superfluous information: I was inspired to nominate this song when I heard original lead vocalist Tommy Heath's gritty acoustic interpretation on the radio a month back. It took me a while to track down the source for that version.

Steel2Velvet
1. 80's Ladies - KT Oslin Doubt anyone here knows this song, but it is a great anthem to babyboomers - this time from a feminine perspective. Exceptionally well written song. 2. Question - The Moody Blues We never did get those answers ".. about hate and death and war." But this song put so many of our shared thoughts into a lyrical mosaic. 3. Hit The Road Jack - Ray Charles 4. Are You Lonesome Tonight - Elvis Presley One of the best from the king. 5. Hello Goodbye - The Beatles 6. Come A Little Bit Closer - Jay and the Americans 7. El Condor Pasa - Simon & Garfunkel 8. Boogaloo Down Broadway - Fantastic Johnny C 9. Ride Captain Ride - Blues Image Love the ragged guitar solo at the end - was always so upset when DJs would talk over that part. 10. Sweet City Woman - Stampeders

OLD 55
I can only hope that the impressionable members of Songfacts like Uncle Joe and Old 55 are not too offended! Listen CanAm, we've probably forgotten more Cuss words than you even know. I don't use as many since I stopped "Do It Yourself" projects. I never buy anything that has 'R.T.A.' or ' Some Assembly Required' - they're bad for my blood pressure. I have been swearing at our new, Digital T.V. though. Why do I need two hand controllers with 107 buttons ? I've mastered about 7 of them so far. Sorry that some missed out nominating, but it's great that you voted. With future Chancellor Farin hitting the textbooks (probably the Net nowadays) and not able to run the Top Ten at the moment, I started the voting probably a bit earlier than usual (because of the time difference in Oz and I wanted to go to bed). OLD 55
RED HOUSE BY JIMI HENDRIX HAS ALREADY MADE THE TOP TEN!!! DON'T VOTE FOR IT!!! Thanks Chris ! Good pickup. I did check a few re-nominations, but not that one. We won't ask those who've voted for it this time to go back and change their votes ! It'll just cause too much confusion. It's not just changing the votes for that song, but adjusting the points for all the others too.
