MindCrime Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 I'll gladly give you about 20 degrees from what we got. Spring is right around the corner, which is bad news for us. Things will be a lot better up north though.
TheLizard Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 It is 8 degrees fahrenheit. That's snot-freezing temperature right there.
Jenny Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 The snow finally stopped! Have I mentioned how much I hate winter?
musicalcure Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 love the picture, uncle joe weather atm is in the upper teen's with flurries, but my brain is trying to convince me it's worse than that.
Levis Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 There's a horrible, hot, unfriendly, strong wind blowing out there. Look, I can handle the dust in my eye, the hair blown over my face and being nearly swept off my feet. But all I was thinking while that was happening was that it cannot possibly be doing any good to them bushfire things I got an SMS this morning about a severe weather warning and a total fire ban across the state. It really applies more to the outer Melbourne suburbs and the rest of Victoria but it's a bit on the scary side. I'm a teensy bit worried about the fire situation 'cos I know it's not all under control. 29 degrees and cloudy with a 60kmph wind... what freaky weathers these parts have.
Epiphany Posted March 3, 2009 Report Posted March 3, 2009 This website features two cool videos that show Milwaukee's winter weather: http://urbanmilwaukee.com/2009/02/22/milwaukee-snow-videos/ It's so funny (and familiar) to see the cars get stuck. The first one looks like it could be from Mr. Roger's Neighborhood.
edna Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 Snow and storms in the US again... I saw that on TV. Same here... cloudy, rainy, cold and sad...
Tenacious_Peaches Posted March 4, 2009 Report Posted March 4, 2009 It snowed here Sunday and it's supposed to be in the 80s this weekend. It's the end of times, I tell you.
RonJonSurfer Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 In very orderly fashion it is: 45 today 50 tomorrow 55 Saturday 60 Sunday.....nice.
MuzikTyme Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 It was 75 degrees fahrenheit today my way when just five days ago we had ten inches of freezing snowfall. Tomorrow it's supposed to reach almost 80 degreesF. The day after tomorrow they're calling for more snow! Only in Virginia! I'll say it time and time again, if one doesn't like the weather in VA they need only to wait a few minutes, it will change!
Lea Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 It snowed last night. I've about had enough of Winter me thinks. I wanna live in Virginia It's a beautiful state. If I ever leave Oregon thats where I'd head
MuzikTyme Posted March 8, 2009 Report Posted March 8, 2009 Well, Ms. Lea, I can't think of too many states where you can see both the mountains and ocean in a four hour period . . . You'd be very happy residing here! I love my state, even though the rules are quite severe. But, isn't that what keeps us safe or is it just a switch on the bare feet or palms? Be well, my dear!
Mike Posted March 10, 2009 Author Report Posted March 10, 2009 It's been wacky out here in the Great Pacific Northwest. Last Friday it was 60° on my front porch, Saturday the temperature fell 10 degrees in 10 minutes traveling over 10 blocks from the freeway to my house, (43°-33°) and then began snowing and hailing. Right now we are flirting with the mid 20's overnight and 40's daytime. Lows we've not seen at this time of year in 50 years.
Mars88 Posted March 10, 2009 Report Posted March 10, 2009 I'll take it, Mike. We're at -24C, with windchill, it feels more like -35C. It was even colder earlier in the day. It's hard to believe we'll see 2C later on in the week.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Bless you, Mars. It was flipping 85 degrees here this afternoon. I don't know which is worse...stupid hot or stupid cold. Let's meet in the middle, shall we?
Shawna Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 the forecast today said it'll be in the mid-80s next week. And I'm going to miss it, because I'll be in San Diego. I hope it's nice there, too... *sigh*
Mars88 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 The really funny thing is that The Eagles are playing three nights here...during this cold snap. I imagine they'll say something on stage about never being so cold in all their lives!
Tenacious_Peaches Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 I sense a "Hell Freezes Over" joke in there somewhere.
RonJonSurfer Posted March 18, 2009 Report Posted March 18, 2009 Back up over 60 today. I'm heading to Wall Street for a meeting in a bit. It's a nice day to head into the city. My younger son (16) is heading to New York city today too. His TV production class is going to the taping of America's Got Talent. I never saw the show, but I'm sure he'll have fun watching how a show is made.
