Shawna
frigid in class today. FRIGID. I had my winter coat on all day, even though it was in the upper 80s outside... I think.
Uncle Joe
Like Ron says, we're in the midst of an April heatwave (temps above 90 3 days in a row or more). It'll be about 30 degrees cooler tomorrow though.
RonJonSurfer
Yep, last day of this Spring heatwave. It isn't 10:00 am yet and it is 94 already. We'll smash the record high today (if we haven't already).
Jenny
Up here in the booneys, there's a breeze that is making it seem cooler than it is...and it feels great. Also, my office is only fit for polar bears, so I take a little longer to feel hot even if it is in the 90s!
RonJonSurfer
Jenny is in Northwest New Jersey and the weather can be drastically different from my area. I live in the immediate suburbs of New York City.
Jenny
Ron's right. It is usually breezy up here until mid-summer, and even then, we can have nice breezes. By mid-August we can open our windows at night, as we have early fall weather. Must be the mountains.
MuzikTyme
How come refigerator is spelt without a "D" but the short form, "fridge" is?
The Seeker
Because if it was spelt 'frige' you'd pronounce it so it rhymes with 'oblige', and that wouldn't have a whole lot in common with refrigerator.

MuzikTyme
Never got the answer that I was looking for, dear readers; but I'll have to say, "Seeker" said it best. Whoops!!! It's so cold in my neck-o'-the-woods that I'm using sunscreen!~
Uncle Joe
First we had an April heat wave with four consecutive days of 90+ temperatures. Now we've had 9 consecutive days of rain. It's a freakin' rain wave! Now, I like rain but this is too much. We're all gonna end up on Ararat. The ironic thing is that we are still under our normal level of rainfall for the year in this region. Careful out there. It's slippery when wet.
