pinkskulls15 Posted December 30, 2004 Author Report Posted December 30, 2004 i like Avenged Sevenfold - Warmness on the Soul Your hazel green tint eyes watching every move I make. And that feeling of doubt, it's erased. I'll never feel alone again with you by my side. You're the one, and in you I confide. And we have gone through good and bad times. But your unconditional love was always on my mind. You've been there from the start for me. And your loves always been true as can be. I give my heart to you. I give my heart, cause nothing can compare in this world to you. more for the lyrics than the actual song, but it sounds just like me and my Greg *starts grinning like a fool*
EasyRider Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 This song is very touching. It's been stuck in my head for a long long time. Love (Can Make You Happy) by Mercy (written by Jack Sigler jr.) Wake up in the morning with the sunshine in your eyes And the smell of flowers blooming fills the air. Your mind is filled with the thoughts of a certain someone - that you love; Your life is filled with joy when she is there. Love can make you happy if you fine someone who cares To giiiive a life time to you and who has a love to shaaare. If you think you've found someone you'll love fooorevermore, Then it's worth the price you'll have to pay (pay). To have, to hold's important when forever is the phrase That means the love you've found is going to stay. Love can make you happy if you find someone who cares To giiiive a life time to you and who has a love to share. La-love, la-love Love can make you happy. Love can make you happy. Love can make you happy. Love...
Tenacious_Peaches Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 "Let's Stay Together" by Al Green.
bluesboy Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 Come Rain or Come Shine - Frank Sinatra I?m gonna love you, like nobody?s loved you Come rain or come shine High as a mountain, deep as a river Come rain or come shine I guess when you met me It was just one of those things But don?t you ever bet me ?cause I?m gonna be true if you let me You?re gonna love me, like nobody?s loved me Come rain or come shine We?ll be happy together, unhappy together Now won?t that be just fine The days may be cloudy or sunny We?re in or out of the money But I?m with you always I?m with you rain or shine
Earth-Angel Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 It's a Bob Dylan original, but I prefer the Garth Brooks version... ~To make you feel my love~ When the rain is blowing in your face And the whole world is on your case I could offer you a warm embrace To make you feel my love When the evening shadows and the stars appear And there is no one there to dry your tears I could hold you for a million years To make you feel my love I know you haven't made your mind up yet But I would never do you wrong I've known it from the moment that we met No doubt in my mind where you belong I'd go hungry, I'd go black and blue I'd go crawling down the avenue There's nothing that I wouldn't do To make you feel my love The storms are raging on the rollin' sea And on the highway of regret The winds of change are blowing wild and free You ain't seen nothing like me yet I could make you happy, make your dreams come true Nothing that I wouldn't do Go to the ends of the earth for you To make you feel my love
Uncle Joe Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 I have too many favorites to pick just one, but...because we are in the Christmas Season (until the decorations come down anyway) I will choose my most romantic Christmas love song. You're My Christmas Present by Jimmy Beaumont (lead singer of The Skyliners) The tree is all trimmed out The fireplace is aglow And outside quiet streets are all covered with snow So darlin' let me tell you On this day of days Baby, you're my Christmas present My Christmas past My Christmas always In the night Churchbells ring Their message of cheer And somewhere carolers sing Soon Santa wil be here And this I swear as into you warm eyes I gaze Baby, you're my Christmas present My Christmas past My Christmas always So on this silent night Let me hold you tight And make you know just how good love can be There's no gift of gold And no treasure untold That's as precious as you are to me As the stars twinkle on high Our world feels so fine And I'll wish you Merry Christmas And as you pour the wine For you this toast my darlin' As my glass I raise Baby, you're my Christmas present My Christmas past My Christmas always You're my Christmas always It's done in that Skyliner's sweet doo-wop harmony and sounds very, very romantic.
Tammy11173 Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 The first song that came to my mind is 'You're the Inspiration'by Chicogo.
XXX Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 "A Question Of Lust (Minimal)" by Depeche Mode I used to comment on how if I were to ever get married, this would be the song that would play... but I'd probably have a hard time choosing
Elvish Posted December 31, 2004 Report Posted December 31, 2004 There are too many to name. I'm partial to Willie Nelson's "Angel Flying Too Close To the Ground," but this one is special to me: Tesla "What You Give" Who's the one that makes you happy? Or maybe, who's the one always on your mind? And who is the reason you're livin' for? Who's the reason for your smile? I feel so lonely, yet I know I'm not the only one To ever feel this way. I love ya so much that I think I'm goin' insane. I'm goin' crazy, outta my head. Goin' crazy, outta my head. Can't think about nothin' but your good, good love, And what you give. Now, ev'ry one needs somebody. And you know, ev'rybody needs someone. Well, and a-yes it's true! Ev'rybody needs a special kind of love, And you're the only one I'm thinkin' of. You mean the world to me. You are my only! I feel so lonely, yet I know I'm not the only one To carry on this way. I love ya so much I lose track-a time, Lose track of the days. I'm goin' outta my head, Goin' crazy, outta my head. Can't think about a-nothin' but your good, good love, And what you give. It's not whatcha got, it's a-what you give. It ain't the life you choose, it's the life you live. It's only what you give, only what you give, only what you give, It's not whatcha got, a-but the life you live. It's the life you live. [spoken:] Play it pretty for the world. You're the one that makes me happy. Oh yeah baby. And you're the one always on my mind. And a-yes it's true. You are my reason, my one and only that I've been livin' for Why can't forever be forever and nothin' more. (To Chorus) It's not whatcha got, it's a-what you give. It ain't the life you choose, it's the life you live. No, no, no, no, no! It's not whatcha got, it's a-what you give. And it ain't what it's not, but a-what it is! Only what you give, only what you give. It's only what you give. It's not whatcha got, a-but a-what you give. It's not whatcha got, it's a-what you give. A-what you give woman. It ain't the life you choose, it's the life you live. It's only what you give, only what you give, only what you give, It's not whatcha got, but a-what you give. It's only what you give. Only what you give. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Only what you give. Only what you give. Only what you give, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Is that good enough for the girls we run around with? I do believe so. Ooh, ooh, uh-huh. Only what you give, what you give. Only what you give. Only what you give.
pinkskulls15 Posted December 31, 2004 Author Report Posted December 31, 2004 ooo Elvish, i've never heard that song, but i'm intensely in love with the lyrics, so now i'm going to scurry off and download it

Foxy Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 Hmm...hard one this...first one that came to mind was "Rock Me Tonight" by Freddie Jackson, very sexy song, and gives me goosebumps if I'm in the right mood , but I'm gonna have a think on my fave... "Oh...ho...ah... Come on and rock me, ooh, girl Oh...ooh...oh...ooh...ooh...oh... Come on and rock me, ooh, girl Hey, girl, long time no see Do you have a little time to spend with me I wanna know what?s been going on In your life, huh, talk to me, baby Your hair, perfume you wear Brings back memories, oh, of you and me You look so fine, you blow my mind All over again, ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh...ooh... So much has happened in my life Since we parted What about you Now I?ve got myself together And I know just what I want And right now I know that it?s you, you Rock me tonight for old times sake Would you, baby, hey Roll with me tonight for old times sake Ooh...ooh...ooh...oh...oh... Ooh, girl, I?m gonna love you real good Come on let me do it now, you know I could I really miss the way you squeeze and moan And call out my name, woo...woo...woo...you can call me, baby I remember you love to take your time To get in the mood, ooh...ooh...ooh...yes, you can call me, baby I remember you love to take your time To get in the mood, ooh...ooh...ooh...yes, you do, yeah But once you?re in the mood You like to go shake to the groove, oh...oh...oh...oh...oh...yes, you do, girl It?s been so long since we?ve had A night together I miss you When I get through lovin? you, girl Fire and desire Will burn in you forever more, more Rock me tonight for old times sake Would you, baby, hey Roll with me tonight for old times sake Woo...woo...would you, would you, would you Rock me tonight for old times sake Sweet, baby, yeah Roll with me tonight for old times sake Oh, girl, come on and rock"
Steel2Velvet Posted January 3, 2005 Report Posted January 3, 2005 Hard to pin down ONE favorite love song. A lot of folks will site "Unchained Melody" by the Righteous Brothers as the only song to chart number 1 by the same artist in 2 different eras. Frank Sinatra (who knew some love songs) named "Something" by George Harrison as "the best love song ever." I always felt there was profound poetry and not just a little truth in the words to "The Rose", best recorded by Bette Midlar. Some say love, it is a river That drowns the tender reed Some say love, it is a razor That leaves your soul to bleed Some say love, it is a hunger An endless aching need I say love, it is a flower And you, it's only seed. It's the heart afraid of breaking That never learns to dance It's the dream afraid of waking That never takes the chance It's the one who won't be taken Who cannot seem to give And the soul afraid of dying That never learns to live. When the night has been too lonely And the road has been too long And you think that love is only For the lucky and the strong; Just remember in the winter Far beneath the bitter snows Lies the seed That with the sun's love In the spring Becomes the rose.
pinkskulls15 Posted January 6, 2005 Author Report Posted January 6, 2005 Idk if anyone has seen Napoleon Dynamite or not, but that song that you mentioned Steel2Velvet, "the rose" is the song that the "Happy Hands Club" is signing, off topic, but thats something i noticed
