I think three nominations is too many. That would be an additional 17 songs on the list.

When you have too many songs you like a lot, it's tough to decide which ones don't make the cut and songs you like a lot at the bottom of your list will have to settle for getting only one or two points.

When there's not so many, it's easy to put your best on the top half of the list and give the "I like it a little bit" songs the bottom billing and the low score points.

Another drawback would be not having enough time to listen to all the nominations.

I usually have barely enough time to listen to 34 songs. If there were 51, I'd prolly have to vote without listening to them all and if that happened, I would just skip voting altogether.

It's not a true ten vote if you only vote for what you already know and don't listen to anything new that someone posts.

That's one reason I don't like that the voting ends on a Friday night or on Saturday.

The weekend is when I have the most time to listen to songs.

I find myself staying up late at night during the week just to be sure I have time to listen to all the songs.

I'd rather see voting end on Sunday afternoon and results posted later Sunday night.

Anyone else have that problem with the current voting schedule?

I try to delegate time each...

"Stormy Monday

Tuesday's just as bad

Wednesday worse

and Thursdays oh so sad..."

at least an hour a day to filter through the noms.

I like the current schedule.

The current schedule works out okay for me...

Same here. Even if I have to gather facts on Mondays or Tuesdays morning before I go to work. I like to do it. I have no problems.

As for listening to the songs, we have some 30/40 songs per week... I usually know half or 3/4 of them, excepet when it's songs from 2000. Then I have to listen to them, at least a couple of times.

So I take a bit of time, maybe half an hour one day and half an hour another day. It's not that complicated for me, really...

For my listening time, I try to take a little bit of time every day, due to 2 things.

The first is, if I try to sit and listen to all the music at once, it'll begin to jumble together and I won't remember which song is which. I need time to assimilate.

The second is, without burning the songs to a CD to listen in my car, I don't have the kind of time in one shot to be listening to everything.

The current schedule should be left alone, IMO.
