Maps - Yeah Yeah Yeahs (2003) Very upset Pink Floyd didn't make #1, but at least it made the list. It's waaaaaay better than #5, but what can you do, eh? No Delfonics either - I guess people don't like Philly soul. Maybe The Stylistics will fare better.
Lucky
As far as Us & Them go, I think it would have fared better if you'd saved it for another week. We were in a Woodstock frame of mind this week, hence the results of the voting ....dominated by Woodstock, as it should be for this big anniversary. The Delphonics, just barely missed the ten, so you can't say a blanket statement like people don't like them. They were #12 for crying out loud, and that's at least as high as the last time, when I nominated that song. We'll just have to put it up again pink. As far as the list goes .... The little hippie chick that lives somewhere deep in my soul is deliriously happy! An entirely fitting list to celebrate Woodstock. And about flipping time I'm Going Home made it! Oh and Cracklin' Rosie!

phil
Great that Woodstock got remembered. Those were all great performances. I was only 13 in 1969, but I played the Hell out the Woodstock album. Good memories. As far as Us And Them, not one of my favorite Floyd songs. kind of bland to me. I prefer the early spacey Floyd. As far as hating Soul music! That's such a simpleminded statement, it does not deserve an answer.
MindCrime
How can you not like Going Up The Country? Seriously I don't think I had heard that one before this week, but I liked it on first listen and even voted for it. It's rare that I vote for a song that I wasn't previously familiar with.
