By the way, we're talking about the xylophone/marimba/whatever version of Out of Time, right?

I'm not sure when the other one (strings and such) was released, but that one would rank a whole lot higher on my list.

Just making sure :)

It's the version that appeared on Aftermath (U.K. 1966), not the Chris Farlowe cover version.

Fin, maybe you mean the version that appears on "Metamorphosis"? I can´t find it on youtube but it´s a quite barroque version, with strings and such, as you say. You can hear a sample here.

Amazing: any of my Top 6 might, in any other week, make my #1. Love'em all. "Rottweillers" gets it by a nose, for sentimental reasons. ;)

Not on this occasion; John Peel's voice features at the beginning of Nerve Rack's "Bald Men Set The Pace". That voice at the front of Rottweillers aint John Peel at all. Some other fella being interviewed about young hoodlums behaving badly in the local dancehall, circa late 1950s. :shades:

sorry, I meant to reply to that but somehow didn't get around to it

I just thought that it was him, because the tags in the youtube video also contain "John Peel"... :)

and I also wondered whether it refers to the band or to the listener :shades:
