Lucky Posted March 24, 2008 Author Report Posted March 24, 2008 Rock biographies, maybe? I love this idea! I've wanted to this since we began. I also love the idea of live albums, and acoustic albums.
_Laurie_ Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 How about a rock biography acoustic solo live concept album??? I'm just being silly, sorry carry on...must be the margaritas I had today...
Levis Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 Ooo let's do Laurie's!! How 'bout best alternative albums? ()
c_s_1987 Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 Best albums/artists by decade! I've always wanted to do decade specific top tens for songs, artists and albums.
Shawna Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 How about a Songfactor's Choice of only songs that I like?
Lucky Posted March 24, 2008 Author Report Posted March 24, 2008 Best albums/artists by decade! I've always wanted to do decade specific top tens for songs, artists and albums. I like this idea as well!
bluesboy Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 I don't know how well this will go over but we could try some Country Western, Folk, Blues etc. and Jazz
Elvish Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 Oooooh - I like bios and autobios, acoustic and live.
Jenny Posted March 24, 2008 Report Posted March 24, 2008 I like the compilations, bios and autobios ideas. I also like the decades idea. Here is some food for thought: Best TV show themes? Best of the "best of" albums?
Foolonthehill Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 I like the decade idea a lot, and I think we might even be able to pull off a single year. Some years- '67 or '73 maybe- would have plenty of potential nominees.
Levis Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998 too Maybe even '92 and '99... hmm. Well, honestly, I'm not really that much in favour of single years... I don't know what I really care about that came out in the 60s or 70s as a whole, let alone a single year. But I could handle decades, yes
Foolonthehill Posted March 25, 2008 Report Posted March 25, 2008 hmmm yeah I guess single years would be difficult most people. picking a year would be hard. but I still think '73 would be great...
Lucky Posted March 25, 2008 Author Report Posted March 25, 2008 (edited) Jeeminy Christmas y'all. Have you been storing these up? Did you have to be invited to speak up? If so, this is the first time! So far we've been given these ideas: Acoustic Albums Insrumentals Live Albums Collaberations Concert Films Greatest Hits compilations Bio/Auto Bios Genres other than Rock oriented Covers British Invasion Concept Albums Solo Albums Covers Albums By Decade (year?) Keep them coming! Edited March 25, 2008 by Guest
Lucky Posted March 27, 2008 Author Report Posted March 27, 2008 So far we've been given these ideas: Genres other than Rock oriented So was I! I think it's a great idea.
Levis Posted March 27, 2008 Report Posted March 27, 2008 Oh... that Um okay... here's a new one: Alternative rock!
Farin Posted April 7, 2008 Report Posted April 7, 2008 how about the "Top Underrated bands/albums": flops that should have been hits? ... or, to get a bit more controversial, the other way around: "Top Overrated bands/albums"
Shawna Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 weelll.. since we're gettin' wild and crazy with this, how about... Biggest bust (worst album) by someone who was originally lead singer in a band, then tried going solo and flopped miserably?
Lucky Posted April 9, 2008 Author Report Posted April 9, 2008 There is actually some food for thought somewhere in there....
