Rayzor
Yet another band that should have been more reknowned... Baby Ran - 54-40 Not heavy 80's hair band... but not relaxed either. I'm not sure how they were labelled back in the day but they sound cool and have tons of great tunes. (Search 54-40 on YT and listen and love)
Rayzor
Came across this video of 2 wicked guitarists who were taken from us too soon. I had no idea they knew each other, but Stevie Ray Vaughn indirectly helped Jeff Healey's career. Farin
In case you haven't had enough of youtube covers of Gotye's Somebody That I Used to Know: Reluctant as I am to add to the mountain of interpretations of Somebody That I Used To Know seemingly taking over their own area of the internet, I couldn't resist the massive remixability that such a large, varied yet connected bundle of source material offered. Carl
Night And Day - Frank Sinatra - the Voice You know it's going to be a great performance when it starts with one girl taking the coat and another for the hat. I can see why many folks didn't appreciate Rock & Roll in 1957 when this was the music it was displacing. My vid of the day is this clip of Tina Turner doing "Nutbush City Limits." Some great scenes of Nutbush and of vintage Tina, but I'm not sure the new arrangement does the song any favors. http://mfile.akamai.com/72731/mov/sos2294-1.streamos.download.akamai.com/72733/tinaturner/tinaturner_nutbush-city-limits_700.mov

Rayzor
Yet another Canadian band that didn't get airplay south of the border, but they had good tunes. Girl With A Problem - Northern Pikes They still play from time to time. An unconfirmed rumor has them working on a new album... Their website neither confirms or denies this. Carl
One of my favorite 90 seconds of '80s TV ever. Watch as Mallory muffs the words to "Beat It," singing "Show me what's funky, show me what's right." Back in 1983, it wasn't easy to find the lyrics, and apparently the producers just took a guess. TheLizard
Major key Metallica. Some guy digitally transposed Nothing Else Matters into a major key and the results are pretty fantastic. He's done a few other songs, but this is by far the best.
Carl
As a non-musician, I've been trying to understand the major/minor key thing for quite a while, and this makes it click. That "Nothing Else Matters" sounds like puppies compared to the real version.
