I'm not sure how they were labelled back in the day but they sound cool and have tons of great tunes. (Search 54-40 on YT and listen and love)

I can see why many folks didn't appreciate Rock & Roll in 1957 when this was the music it was displacing. My vid of the day is this clip of Tina Turner doing "Nutbush City Limits." Watch as Mallory muffs the words to "Beat It," singing "Show me what's funky, show me what's right." Back in 1983, it wasn't easy to find the lyrics, and apparently the producers just took a guess.

TheLizard Posted January 20, 2013 Report Posted January 20, 2013 Major key Metallica. Some guy digitally transposed Nothing Else Matters into a major key and the results are pretty fantastic. He's done a few other songs, but this is by far the best.
Carl Posted January 21, 2013 Report Posted January 21, 2013 As a non-musician, I've been trying to understand the major/minor key thing for quite a while, and this makes it click. That "Nothing Else Matters" sounds like puppies compared to the real version.
