OLD 55
Thanks for the great overnight (here) response ! Paranoia runs on my side of the family. I really was worried that people thought I was trying to "take over" the Songfacts Top Tens after Batman's post and another friend asked me something similar in a private message. ................................................. We now have 44 nominations. We'll cut them off soon and I'll ask each of you to submit your Top Ten songs in order from the list. I'd imagine the two you nominated would be #1 and #2 + 8 others. Do you want to submit them on the Site, or would you prefer to send them to me separately as Private Topics ? I'll leave that one open to a bit of discussion. HERE'S THE NOMINATIONS SO FAR. rtstuff
Here are mine Old 55 "I Had Too Much To Dream Last Night" The Electric Prunes. I don't have my own copy of this, and the oldies station in town seldom plays it, but when they do it absolutely rocks me. I think it is the pyschedelic arrangement that does it for me. My other one would have to be "Let It Be" by the Beatles. The message just touches my heart. It touches me like Judy Collins' version of "Amazing Grace". rtstuff Marshall U. 1971 From ashes to glory.
