OLD 55
Yes, I took yours into account RT. I don't think a couple would have made it without your vote. Here's a short breakdown of the songs with votes of 30 or more: My Sharona (1979) 52 Highway Star (1972) 50 Layla (1972) 47 Day After Day (1971) 46 Iris (1998) 41 I Can't Make you Love Me (1991) 41 Rebel Rebel (1974) 40 Good Lovin' (1966) 36 Runaway (1961) 35 Here Comes The Night (1965) 35 Into The Mystic (1970) 33 All Along The Watchtower (1968) 31 And Your Bird Can Sing (1966) 30 ................................................ It was very close as you can see. I allotted the Points from each person's list as 10 for their #1 song down to 1 for their #10 song. It just shows that good music never dies, the 70s dominating with 5 in the Top Ten, the 60s 3, and the 90s 2. What happened to the 1980s ? ................................................. We have some nominations for the next list already (thanks Steel 2V and Shawna). I thought we'd make it a weekly Chart (every Wednesday), so we could have 4 days for nominations and 3 days for voting / compilation. What do you think of that ? I'm interested in your thoughts/suggestions, and also what you think of the makeup of our first Top 10. ALL feedback is welcome.

Lucky
I think we've ended up with an awesome top ten 55. Just from getting to know people's likes and dislikes here, it seems much more reflective of everyone's tastes. Nothing wrong with the "official" top ten, but we've all done most of those songs to death. We needed more!! Thanks 55, you've done quite a job. OLD 55
Thank you Cee Cee; it was a team effort, the first of many we hope. Very incisive comments you made. I agree that it's always interesting to hear other people's views. I never cease to be amazed at the number of young people who know the great Bands/ Groups of the 60s and 70s.
