Carl
Hard to believe Colbert overstated something. Here's my snowman after the storm. Now he's got some meat.

CanAm
Muy, muy, frio! I think the high today was -21C (-6Fahrenheit). However, it's supposed to be +5C by Thursday. Yippee!
RonJonSurfer
Ice storm today. Maybe about 3 inches of ice, snow and other frosty precip.
MuzikTyme
Winters are remarkably mild here in central VA. Today, for example, is expected to hit 65 degrees. Tomorrow, I'll probably wake up to a foot of snow. Thing is, if you don't like the weather in central VA...just wait about an hour; it'll change! Jenny
You Californians can just shush now......every freakin' week in January we've had a snowstorm. My kid's missed one day of school each week and this week, not counting MLK day. They are predicting ANOTHER storm for Friday. Even my husband who likes winter is sick of it. RonJonSurfer
Like Jenny said,,,a snowstorn every week in January. Today we can get as much as another foot of snow. We are 5 weeks into Winter and the snow totals (including today) are around 50 inches. That's a whole lot for New Jersey. Fortunately, the week after the first big storm (the last week of December) it warmed up and we had a meltdown from the 30+ inches that fell.Since then, not much has melted...it's a Winter Wonderland...(and I hate it). Jenny
Our area is actually predicted to have little snow fall from the storm coming tonight, but I hear there's another system coming in on Sunday. I just want one week with decent temperatures (in the 30s would be good), no snow and sunny. That's the only way I like winter.
Uncle Joe
We're in the midst of a 6" to 10" snowfall this morning (and into early Thursday). Our townhomes and trees look beautiful flocked in the white stuff but I've had enough. Spring training opens in a couple of weeks. Yay!
Uncle Joe
Then again the kids and dogs love it.... Check this out Remember what Dr. Sidney Freeman told the doctors on MASH when things got a little heated? "Ladies and gentlemen take my advice...pull down your pants and slide on the ice." Jenny
Wow, Ron. We got around 6 or 7", and schools were only delayed, not closed. This will be my daughters first whole week at school since the beginning of the year.
Carl
And so begins February with another snow day and another one in the forecast for tomorrow. Everyone around here is afraid their roof will collapse because that's what the local news tells us.

Jenny
I just talked to my parents, who are wintering in Florida. My mom said it was just over 70 degrees there and sunny. Meanwhile, Hubby and I spent a couple of hours breaking through the ice on our driveway.
