Kevin Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 I recall the Morrison/ Jagger fight last fall and I personally loved the heated tempers and spit and bile ! Ok, same gig but we'll put Bowie in there ... Jagger ended up 1-0 , with a slight spit decision, which the ref's properly ignored ... I love the Stones, the best of all bands; but Bowie is is a smarter songrwriter, and better performer (when he's on ... ) and altogether, a better show (if you're paying for entertainment ) etc. Ok ! Let the Anti - Aircraft fly .... Bombers over Berlin
katie_sane Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 Well, my avatar would suggest where my loyalty lay. But, a little known secret, I used to be known around these forums as katie_jagger! I love Mick and David, they rock my world. Bowie is my fave because I think his music just edges out the Stones in my affections. So that makes it Bowie 3, Mick 0.
scott Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 Bowie, hands down, no questions asked, I adore the 'Man Who Sold The World' album.
Lucky Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 Ooohhh....Here it goes! :: You can compare Jagger to Bowie? I'll take Jagger anyday, but it's like the previous argument(which was fun, and I helped win it! Noob that I am!)Once again it's apples and oranges. Bowie is serios talent. Jagger is the consumate performer/rockstar. Take your pick!! Bowie to me?
Lucky Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 Yay ! :guitar: Kevin I'm glad as your sig states you know what you've got yourself in for!!
edna Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 Well, Jagger... I´m a Stones fan... though he´s not my style and I prefer Keith. Bowie has beautifull songs but I don´t find him atractive. But why do I have to choose? I take both, I love their music.
_jr_ Posted May 27, 2005 Report Posted May 27, 2005 I could take or leave either one. I've never seen Bowie on stage in person, so I couldn't say if he's better than Jagger. I know the Stones was one of the worst shows I've ever seen.
SoulGirl Posted May 28, 2005 Report Posted May 28, 2005 bowie for me, bitte schoen. although i haven't seen him live yet (he had to cancel on oxegen last summer) and i have seen the stones and they rocked - mick was like a twenty year old onstage!! still i prefer bowie's music and persona overall, tho they are both amazing!!
MarcM Posted May 28, 2005 Report Posted May 28, 2005 I like Bowie's music better. His albums were so different and original from everything else that happened to be out at the time. I saw him in 1984 (give or take a year) at Dodger Stadium and he was great!
XXX Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 Kevin, you should be smacked like a little red-headed step-child. Is there even a real choice here? Of course it's Bowie :: For The Stones:
edna Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 Hey, how can you post, XXX? Seems the site isn´t working this morning... nor tonight...
invisible_r Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 bowie for me, bitte schoen. although i haven't seen him live yet (he had to cancel on oxegen last summer) and i have seen the stones and they rocked - mick was like a twenty year old onstage!! still i prefer bowie's music and persona overall, tho they are both amazing!! i totally agree, saw the stones in 1997 and he was great. but i still prefer bowie's music

XXX Posted May 29, 2005 Report Posted May 29, 2005 That guy looks chinese, JuanCarlos... You´re more handsome than that... I grew my hair longer... it gets in my eyes ::
CanAm Posted May 30, 2005 Report Posted May 30, 2005 I'm with Sammy and Edna all the way. Mick rocks, Bowie sucks. Bowie is a better actor, though! :guitar:
Richard48795 Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 Wasn't there a roumor that they had homosexual sex?
scott Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 No, no you're confused there Richard, you see there's this rumor that David Bowie and Mick Jagger had Heterosexual sex.
Batman Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 That's right Richard, there was a big rumor not about them having sex, but about them bein in bed naked together, or something. Read more about it here
miamisammy29 Posted July 1, 2005 Report Posted July 1, 2005 Well, you're all wrong. Jagger asked Bowie for head, and Bowie gave him it. And that's as far as it went.
