MindCrime Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 Excellent choice DanielJ He's gonna have to burn 2 CD's now, It's pretty hard to fit 20+ songs on one.
cosmosis Posted September 29, 2004 Report Posted September 29, 2004 If you still have room for another song, I would like to be represented by Bob Marley with the song Jammin'.
bluesboy Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 Hi Muzik, Otis Redding Try a Little Tenderness ____ Let's play two! ~ Ernie Banks
TheCyberdemon Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 If we're tossing around Hedrix songs, throw on Highway Chile for me.
Carl Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 Billy Joel - "Scenes From An Italian Restaurant"
Uncle Joe Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 Excellent choice DanielJ He's gonna have to burn 2 CD's now, It's pretty hard to fit 20+ songs on one. It's looking like a boxed-set now.
MuzikTyme Posted September 30, 2004 Author Report Posted September 30, 2004 Yeah boy! Since I can only burn 20 songs to a disc, I'll show what I have on disc 1. I forgot to mention that each disc will not contain two songs by the same band but other discs may have the same band, just a different song. So Jayson and Daniel, please make another band selection for disc 1. Thanks guys, disc 1 is beautiful. :: Keep 'em coming so I can post the complete disc 2. Jay and Dan, get me those songs so I can complete disc 1. :: ~Sounds of Songfacts~ (SOS) Disc 1 1. Soulful Strut / Grover Washington Jr.---UncleJoe 2. My Little Runaway / Del Shannon-------edna 3. cosmosis Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 I have the ending!!! BTW, Muzik, if you don't mind, I'm burning the CDs too, so could you post a song for yourself? It would be the last one on the last CD.
Malakin Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 That actually looks like a rather enjoyable cd!
MuzikTyme Posted September 30, 2004 Author Report Posted September 30, 2004 Cosmo, my choice would be: Polk Salad Annie by Tony Joe White
_jr_ Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 Cosmo, my choice would be: Polk Salad Annie by Tony Joe White That's a great song. I like Elvis' version.
MuzikTyme Posted September 30, 2004 Author Report Posted September 30, 2004 Me too but even the King can't beat White's version, especially that down home blues guitar of his. I think he tells the intro/story better too, makes sense because it's his. Sorry, King.
Uncle Joe Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 Can I change mine? I was going back anf forth and I decided on Southern Cross by CS & N. I won't change again-I promise. LOL...It's a lady's prerogative and I know MT won't mind. Hey MT...here's my vote for Tony Joe White's version, too. I congratulate you on a super idea. This is fun.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 Can I change mine? I was going back anf forth and I decided on Southern Cross by CS & N. I won't change again-I promise. Amy, I love that song! My favorite song is Aretha's version of "Respect", but in the spirit of my tenaciousness, perhaps I should choose "Tribute" by the almighty Tenacious D.
Earth-Angel Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 I'm so honoured Muzik - what a brilliant idea!! ::
_Jayson_ Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 Cult of personality - Living Colour
scott Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 I've been thinking about this long and hard, and at first I thought I'd pick a Beatles, Nirvana, or R.E.M. tune, but then I thought 'Does that explain me' and while there are a few under that category, I came up with something else, a song that I hold near and dear to my heart, this is the song that when I heard it live, it completely changed my outlook on music forever (mellow stuff is the way to go!) and this song is Learning to Fly- Tom Petty
Earth-Angel Posted September 30, 2004 Report Posted September 30, 2004 Hey Scott - you been AWOL for a while. Nice to see you back
MindCrime Posted October 1, 2004 Report Posted October 1, 2004 13. Silent Lucidity / Queensrÿche----------Formerly Mindcrime You know me pretty well Marcus, my name changes never last & I always go back to the original That actually looks like a rather enjoyable CD! I'm with Malakin on this one, the songtrack looks pretty tasteful.
