Pleasantly surprised at the performance of Nothing Compares 2U; I figured that if one of my noms got in it would be U2, not 2U.

How's this for a streak: my noms have finished #2 on the TT each of the last 4 weeks:

TT #155: 2. You Send Me-Sam Cooke

TT #156: 2. The Lion Sleeps Tonight-Tokens

TT #157: 2. Give Me Just a Little More Time-Chairmen of the Board

TT # 158: 2. Nothing Compares 2U- Sinead O'Connor

And each of the last 3 artists picked up their 1st TT.

Quite an agreeable 10.

"Nigel" at #3!!! Of course, when I nominated it (July 2006), it failed miserably...never got anywhere near the Ten.

Naturally, I interpret its success now as a subtle indication that I am universally loathed.

Someone else said about the same thing I think.

Someone nominates a song twenty times and it fails miserably twenty times. Then someone else nominates the same song once and it makes it

I'm happy to see "Nigel" made it. Some one wanna nominate "Winter Windows" for me :D

tastes in music evolve a bit too, eg a few years ago I probably wouldn't have (didn't?) voted so high for that song, simply because I didn't start listening to new wave/post-punk intensly until a couple months later (for which you in return deserve quite some credit :) )

A very nice Ten. I think that most of the songs there have been nominated multiple times, if not all of them, so if I didn't vote for it this time I probably have in the past. I like the whole ten! :)

Fitter, move over on the 'loathing' bench. My two songs got a total of 1 vote(for 1 point) between them other than my own!! :D (thanks Viaene! ;) )
