MuzikTyme Posted May 15, 2008 Report Posted May 15, 2008 i've never understood the appeal of high heels, all they do is break your ankles, mess with your legs, and make you fall down i know having worn my fair share in my time I bet you have great ankles!
invisible_r Posted May 15, 2008 Report Posted May 15, 2008 they make your legs look great and make you look taller when you are short like me. I used to hate high heels but now I love them, I don' think I've bought any flat shoes recently! plus wedges can be quite comfy anyway. It's worth buying moderately priced shoes because ever time I buy cheap shoes they really hurt my feet and I end up throwing them away anyway
MuzikTyme Posted May 15, 2008 Report Posted May 15, 2008 One reason why I love summertime...flip-flops.
MuzikTyme Posted May 15, 2008 Report Posted May 15, 2008 Wow, Marc, it's only 64 my way! I'm chilly and you're sweating!
MarcM Posted May 15, 2008 Author Report Posted May 15, 2008 i WOULD GLADLY TRADE WITH YOU, mARCUS. i DO NOT LIKE THE HEAT.
Mars88 Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 24C, or 75F...it's beautiful outside right now.
Lea Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 It was barely 60 yesterday and rainy. Today it was almost 90

I guess you´re right, Namahage, but Rach is right too. I don´t wear high heels all the time -actually, I almost don ´t wear them anymore, just from time to time- because they´re just good for some occasions... yes, they hurt your feet. It´s not as comfy as sneakers but as Rach said, it makes you look great. I´m 1,57 mtrs tall. Eva Longoria said "When I knew I was 1,50mtrs tall I understood first thing I had to do was learn how to walk with high heels"...
Levis Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 I do not wear high heels because I can't have my head brushing the ceiling. Also, I like sneakers more

Jenny Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 I can have flare-ups of plantar fascitis, so I can't wear flat shoes all the time. I do wear heels, but usually high heeled boots (ankle ones and calf-length) or loafers with a slight heel. I do have kitten heeled shoes, too. Rachael is right. Some of the costlier shoes are the better constructed ones and do offer comfort and support as well as the leaner look for your legs. That said, I do love my sneakers (trainers) and my Skechers Mary Janes!
Blue Fish Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 I wear them nearly all the time as I'm only five foot one...

skybluesky Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 I could wear high heels and stand on two ladders and my head still would not brush the ceiling. It's 70 degrees and sunny. Finally a day nice enough to have the windows open
MarcM Posted May 16, 2008 Author Report Posted May 16, 2008 Shannons wearing elevator heels, but they are going down! 102 at my house today. Its a balmy 96 here at work. Again, I am happy to be inside now!
skybluesky Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Elevator Heels-with live fish in the heels.
MuzikTyme Posted May 16, 2008 Report Posted May 16, 2008 Don't forget the fish-net stockings or Uncle Joe's socks. It's a very comfortable 73 degrees my way.
Levis Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 Ooo Marc would make me blush... If it weren't for the fact that it is 6 degrees celcius (42 F). at noon. Brrr.
Otokichi Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 1630, 77.5 degrees Fahrenheit. Earlier it was 86 degrees Fahrenheit, with a troublesome two some of high humidity and volcanic fog (VOG) whiting out things out a mere 100 yards away. The sulfur-dioxide- containing-VOG is supposed to hang around Sunday, when the tradewinds are supposed to return.
c_s_1987 Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 It was pretty cold (minimum of 8C, which I think is about 48F) today. It didn't help that I worked in a freezer all day. :beady:
c_s_1987 Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 Meh, I guess I'm used to it. It's a great job to have in summer.
Levis Posted May 17, 2008 Report Posted May 17, 2008 's funny... it was colder in the day time than it is now. 8 degrees at 1 a.m. outside as opposed to 6 degrees at noon.
