Farin Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 here's a random thought for you: The number two in the world's most popular Karaoke songs (after Abba's 'Waterloo') is... Bohemian Rhapsody interesting how such a complex song, without having a chorus but instead having 6 different types of music, could become so popular... Bohemian Rhapsody: Mama, we've killed a song
RockyRaccoon Posted December 9, 2009 Report Posted December 9, 2009 I think it's in the top 20 of all time, but not the best selling. That is Eagle's Greatest Hits in America and Thriller worldwide. Yea, I knew that. I was saying at the time I believe it was the best selling. I can't remember. I know until Hootie & The Blofish's Cracked Rear View, it was the best selling debut album.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted December 10, 2009 Report Posted December 10, 2009 The Breakup Song by The Greg Kinh Band is in the Daily Top Ten. That was my jam back in the day. Uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh....
Farin Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 David Bowie's Response To His First American Fan Letter
Farin Posted December 11, 2009 Report Posted December 11, 2009 just saw a response from the girl who wrote the fan letter in the comments (well, probably)
Levis Posted December 16, 2009 Report Posted December 16, 2009 I still think the new Vampire Weekend song is rubbish - Cousins
Levis Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 I'd expect you to, a lot of people do.
Levis Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 I do like the new Animal Collective song , surprisingly enough. Much different to what I'd heard of them so far and been all 'eh...' and ':stars:' about
TheLizard Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 Ohhh so you'd expect me to have the same rubbish tastes as the dumb masses.
Levis Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 Noes, it just sounds like your kind of thing. I'm not really too keen on that hand-clappy thin-vocal sound, you know that.
Levis Posted December 17, 2009 Report Posted December 17, 2009 (edited) Ohhhhh it's on! Awrite then you indie-kid, we're going to have a snob-off, I shall meet you in What Song- scuse me while I go don some armour Edited December 17, 2009 by Guest
Heimann47 Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 I need more basses... 4 isn't enough...
MuzikTyme Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Hmm, four string= bass If four strings aren't enough, try a six-stringed bass set 20 octaves down... Tommy Hamilton swore by it but I never had a chance to play one or took into consideration how much fun it is to play bass guitar that way... Not to say that it's not on my: List to do.
Heimann47 Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 I already have a 6-stringed bass, and 3 4-strings. My next one is probably going to be a 5-string. I meant 4 bass guitars isn't enough, though, not 4 strings.
MuzikTyme Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Four bass guitars aren't enough? How many hands do you have or maybe you're part octopus or squid? I dated Medusa . . . once . . . so I understand.
Heimann47 Posted January 12, 2010 Report Posted January 12, 2010 Four bass guitars aren't enough? I doubt I'll ever have enough basses...
MindCrime Posted January 23, 2010 Report Posted January 23, 2010 LadyGaga seems to really be dominating the Daily Top 10, but I find it kind of odd that Magic Carpet Ride is the leading classic rock song.
MindCrime Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 Ace of Base in the top 10, and it's a song over 15 years old. WTF?
Farin Posted January 31, 2010 Report Posted January 31, 2010 and not only that, it's also an album track, not a hit single or anything...
lonelyday Posted February 4, 2010 Report Posted February 4, 2010 ACDC played Auckland tonight, and I could hear them from my flat...why pay when you can get something for free?
