_Laurie_ Posted July 23, 2009 Report Posted July 23, 2009 Today I was singing "Feel Like Making Love" by Bad Co. at the top of my lungs to the car radio today...I love that song.
Farin Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 Today I learned of a genre I never heard of before: New Wave of British Heavy Metal
_Laurie_ Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 And did you learn of this genre on Sonfacts?
Farin Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 no... are there songs like that on SF? I was listening to an artist called Savium on last.fm in which he is described as having his roots "within the NWOBHM genre" I asked what that stands for, and today I got an answer (I think from the artist himself)
TheLizard Posted July 25, 2009 Report Posted July 25, 2009 Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, and Saxon are probably the three most famous examples of that genre.
Carl Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 Great comment left yesterday on Breathe: "you don't need drugs to enjoy pink floyd, you need pink floyd to enjoy the drugs!"
Foolonthehill Posted July 29, 2009 Report Posted July 29, 2009 so true no trip is complete without Pink Floyd
Viaene Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Nice! That quote can be used for some other artists too
The Seeker Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 You must be using the wrong drugs if you need something else to make the trip complete
TheLizard Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Why has Lady Gaga taken over the daily top ten? For that matter, why does anybody find anything appealing about Lady Gaga?
The Seeker Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 I didn't even realise she had more than one song.
Jenny Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 I knew she had more than one song, but I was also thinking why is she so popular today? She isn't dead...so did she get married? arrested? what?
pinkstones Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Lady GaGa is a total butterface who can't sing, can't dress and can't dance. In other words, she's a perfect fit for what's on the radio right now. Hell if I know why she's all over the Top 10.
TheLizard Posted July 30, 2009 Report Posted July 30, 2009 Here's another random music thought I had recently: Does anybody actually like Sheryl Crow? I don't know who her core audience is supposed to be, besides middle age single lesbians (apologies if there actually is anybody here who likes Sheryl Crow and is not a middle age single lesbian).
Shawna Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 I've never been a fan of Sheryl Crow's. I'm hetero.
Carl Posted July 31, 2009 Report Posted July 31, 2009 I haven't given up on Sheryl. She handled the Lance situation pretty well and is still capable of making good music.
_Laurie_ Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 Never cared for her music all that much...

Farin Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 did you get to listen to Future of the Left?
Viaene Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 I couldn't Their performance was during Eagles of Death Metal's show.
Farin Posted August 24, 2009 Report Posted August 24, 2009 that's okay, I'll make it up by nominating one of their songs this week
