RockyRaccoon Posted August 25, 2010 Report Posted August 25, 2010 I still love Passion Pit. Always will haha
TheLizard Posted September 7, 2010 Report Posted September 7, 2010 Fleetwood Mac by Fleetwood Mac is one of the most perfect pop albums I've ever heard. I know most people would say Rumours, but I prefer Fleetwood Mac.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted September 8, 2010 Report Posted September 8, 2010 Between Psych and Rocky Raccoon, I have fallen in love all over again with Tears for Fears. So thank you to Shawn, Gus and Ben.

MindCrime Posted September 19, 2010 Report Posted September 19, 2010 Jimi Hendrix died 40 years ago today
bluesboy Posted September 21, 2010 Report Posted September 21, 2010 They were talking in another thread about the song I Put a Spell on You . Here's a jazzy arrangement by Katie Melua.
Farin Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 I was just following a link to a youtube video of Pearl Jam's Not For You and got the message that since it contained content from Sony Music Entertainment it's not available in my country... These attitudes out there...that it's the industry's music... And it's not. It's mine. And it's yours. Whoever's listening to it. It's mine and it's yours. And everybody in between, they're the distributors.
Yellowsnow Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 (edited) it contained content from Sony Music Entertainment it's not available in my country... That happens to me more and more often You tube is starting to s*ck big time (for music lovers at least) Edited October 1, 2010 by Guest
Farin Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 It's not youtube's fault though, it's the labels who are saying "either you pay us (high amount of $) or you take the videos down"
Yellowsnow Posted October 1, 2010 Report Posted October 1, 2010 You're right Martin. I'll never understand why music industry has to be so greedy.
Carl Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 Is there a dumber name for a genre of music than "Hip Hop"? I understand why it had to move away from "Rap," but it sounds dumb.
MuzikTyme Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 I'm pretty sure Hip-Hop is something that should not have the word "hip" in it. 70s bubble gum was "hip" and groovy! Speaking of bubble gum can you dig it?
Viaene Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 on that same note, why is rock and roll called rock and roll? what has a rock to do with music?
Uncle Joe Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 the "rock" part comes fron rockin' and rollin'.
RockyRaccoon Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 the "rock" part comes fron rockin' and rollin'. Which was slang for having sex. A DJ in Cleveland I believe coined the term. And it stuck.
MuzikTyme Posted October 18, 2010 Report Posted October 18, 2010 on that same note, why is rock and roll called rock and roll? what has a rock to do with music? "Don't come knocking if this van's rockin'." Chevy Van ...that is.
Carl Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 I don't know this for sure, but until Carole King came out with Tapestry, the biggest-selling female artist was Julie Andrews - if you count The Sound Of Music soundtrack.
bluesboy Posted October 20, 2010 Report Posted October 20, 2010 Where's Barbara Streisand in the list... ...where's Brad ?
Blue_In_Green Posted October 27, 2010 Report Posted October 27, 2010 It's sad that hip hop is now more popular than it was back in the mid to late '80s when it was truly an innovative art form. All the crappy artists of today are making more money than the true legends of the genre ever did.

MindCrime Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 Looking at the daily 10, I see the Cee Lo Green song F**k You was changed to Forget You, but Eamon's F**k It, is also there and left the same.
Farin Posted November 5, 2010 Report Posted November 5, 2010 if I may mention something I noticed earlier today nothing against censoring tracks in the database, but it's pretty hard to search for songs like Fuc k You by Lily Allen on SF
