johnny Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Closedown - The Cure ....or.... The End - The Doors (but that's a predictable answer....)
Otokichi Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 As in "Soylent Green," Beethoven's "Pastoral" Symphony (Symphony No. 6 in F major, Op. 68).
edna Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 1- anything by Genesis or Phil Collins. 2- Walking on sunshine.
Super Ry 71 Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 2- Walking on sunshine. I think he means when you die. It's All Too Much ~ The Beatles
Earth-Angel Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Ugh I hate walking on sunshine! I would like to hear something beautiful, like anything by Sigur Ros or Kent. Something that just completes the circle.
daslied Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 "Fawn" by Tom Waits - nothing more beautiful for a send-off.
Nick_Burke Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Russians - Sting It always makes me feel like the world is a pretty S**t (I can't remember the rules about obscenity, if you're offended I'll edit) place, so I wouldn't mind leaving it so much.
Lea Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Sleepwalk by Santo And Johnny Beautiful song.
Elvish Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 In The Garden ~ Susan Tedeschi with Double Trouble When I wake up in the garden Peaceful slumber wakes my eyes The sun and moon are always present There are no more crying people around Love fills all up inside me Filling my heart with wishful dreams No more sorrow fills my canvas Along this lonely sea Ships fall off of the horizon Bringing love, peace, and joy No fire can ever harm us Only music fills the air Silver turquoise teardrops drip down Into a window of your soul Touching your emotions with sorrow Of a thousand years of wisdom sold Love fills all up inside me Filling my heart with wishful dreams No more sorrow fills my canvas Along this lonely sea Silver turquoise teardrops drip down Into a window of your soul Touching your emotions with sorrow Of a thousand years of wisdom sold Of a thousand years of wisdom sold When I wake up in the garden Peaceful slumber wakes my eyes
blind-fitter Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Russians - Sting It always makes me feel like the world is a pretty S**t place, so I wouldn't mind leaving it so much. Funnily enough, Sting makes me feel a bit like this too.
blue_n_white Posted October 9, 2007 Report Posted October 9, 2007 Turn! Turn! Turn!(To Everything There Is A Season)- The Byrds. If I were about to die, seems like it would kind of fit.
johnny Posted October 9, 2007 Author Report Posted October 9, 2007 ^ Check out my post in 'question and answers' You might be able to help me....
TheLizard Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 "Break On Through (To The Other Side)"- The Doors Screw going out with while contemplating the nature of life and death as a relaxing yet haunting tune plays. I'm going to go out rocking.
skybluesky Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 Either Blackbird-The Beatles or When the Stars Go Blue-Ryan Adams
c_s_1987 Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 Probably Supper's Ready by Genesis, although for the exact opposite reason edna said Genesis. Funnily enough, it's also one of the first songs I would listen to.
edna Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 1- anything by Genesis or Phil Collins. 2- Walking on sunshine. I think he means when you die. Ugh I hate walking on sunshine! . Oh, I must have been half asleep or something You´re ry, super right... and E-A too, shame on me... I misunderstood the headline... Of course I would HATE to listen to walking on Sunshine (and/or Genesis) at any moment... Now, if I was going to die I wouldn´t be in the mood to be listening to anything at all... I hate to die, you know?
_Laurie_ Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 1- anything by Genesis or Phil Collins. 2- Walking on sunshine. Yep...those two songs will kill ya for sure....
edna Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 Absolutely. In fact, if I have to die I´d rather listen to Walking on Sunshine, it will make me want to be dead already...
Earth-Angel Posted October 10, 2007 Report Posted October 10, 2007 Sleepwalk by Santo And Johnny Beautiful song. That would do me nicely too :guitar:
Foolonthehill Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 Probably Supper's Ready by Genesis, although for the exact opposite reason edna said Genesis. Funnily enough, it's also one of the first songs I would listen to. Same here. If the end of the world is gonna sound that good, I can't wait!
Foolonthehill Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 Or maybe Golden Slumbers by The Beatles. Or maybe just the whole suite from Abbey Road. Yeah, I'd have to die listening to the Beatles. Or maybe on the last heartbeat at the end of Dark Side Of The Moon. In any case, I'll want to die listening to music. Not that there will be much of a point. But still...
edna Posted October 11, 2007 Report Posted October 11, 2007 Probably Supper's Ready by Genesis, although for the exact opposite reason edna said Genesis. Chris, nobody´s perfect... look at me, I like Trini Lopez...
