Farin Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 no, it was a honest mistake always close your tags properly
MuzikTyme Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 Tag 'em and bag 'em, aye? Sounds like an Oliver Stone movie.
MuzikTyme Posted August 1, 2009 Report Posted August 1, 2009 I thought original was best but I could be wrong after the fact before it happened...
Farin Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 Swordfish are supposed to be able to swim 100 km/h (60 mph) fast!
Viaene Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 maybe it depends on the skin? There's more than one?
Farin Posted August 2, 2009 Report Posted August 2, 2009 go to your control panel --> Display Settings; the "user skins" are there
The Seeker Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 Swordfish are supposed to be able to swim 100 km/h (60 mph) fast! Wow, I didn't know that.
Farin Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 anybody else having trouble going to http://last.fm ?
Lea Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 It loads a little slow but it works fine for me otherwise
Farin Posted August 3, 2009 Report Posted August 3, 2009 after I reset my modem I can get there too again which is strange, because every other site worked absolutely fine anyway, thanks Lea
edna Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 I though we Europeans couldn' t have last.fm... (except for the UK)
Farin Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 the exceptions are for the US, the UK and Germany, but I'm a subscriber anyway, so that doesn't affect me also I would use it even without the radio, just for the statistic keeping
Farin Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 well, I got it as a birthday present, but yep
c_s_1987 Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 (edited) Swordfish are supposed to be able to swim 100 km/h (60 mph) fast! Swordfish are pretty fast, but Sailfish are actually the fastest fish in the world. They have been clocked at over 110 kph, and can maintain that speed longer than a cheetah can. Farin Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 whoa! just for comparison: the fastest human swimmers are maybe 5km/h = 3mph fast the fastest boats maybe 40kn = 45mph = 75km/h
c_s_1987 Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 I was going to say Perth's own Eamon Sullivan is the fastest swimmer in the world with his 21.28 second 50 metre freestyle. But it turns out Frédérick Bousquet broke the record in April with an amazing 20.94! I struggle to comprehend that - I think I would still take more than a minute to swim 50m.
Levis Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 Yes but see, humans are land mammals and swordfish, sailfish etc. have sort of EVOLVED over time, a large proportion of which was spent in the ocean which is a whole lot of water and which necessitates some basic swimming ability. I did the comparison in my head to a car on a highway, I think that works better and doesn't shock as much.
pinkstones Posted August 4, 2009 Report Posted August 4, 2009 It turns out I didn't have a cold, or the flu. Now I've got bronchitis, or so my mother thinks. Fabulous.
Shawna Posted August 5, 2009 Report Posted August 5, 2009 careful with that, PS. Bronchitis can turn into pneumonia before you know it... and that's some nasty nasty stuff.
