Sweet Jane 61 Posted June 21, 2007 Report Posted June 21, 2007 Oh a Jersey boy fight....I want front row seats!! I get to tend to the injured! Don't forget to invite Southside Johnny!!
RonJonSurfer Posted June 21, 2007 Report Posted June 21, 2007 I think Southside is from Ocean Grove, not at all a tough town, but i think he's a pretty tough guy. Ahh, throw him in the mix.
Sweet Jane 61 Posted June 21, 2007 Report Posted June 21, 2007 I think we could sell alot of tickets to this rumble!! I can't wait!! I can tend to Bruce as Patty mixes it up with the rest of you!
RonJonSurfer Posted June 21, 2007 Report Posted June 21, 2007 Don't pay too much for tickets, it's gonna be a short fight.
RonJonSurfer Posted June 21, 2007 Report Posted June 21, 2007 ..on the cool side of things....I read this on Little Steven's wikipedia bio: Personal life Van Zandt is married to actress Maureen Van Zandt (formerly Maureen Santora) who portrays his wife Gabriella Dante in the TV series The Sopranos. They married in Asbury Park, New Jersey on December 29, 1982.[4] Bruce Springsteen was the best man at the ceremony and singers Percy Sledge and Little Richard duetted on When a Man Loves a Woman at the reception Nice..
miamisammy29 Posted June 21, 2007 Report Posted June 21, 2007 Just for the record...the Bon Jovi boys are from Sayreville, Bruce and the gang are from Freehold, I'm from Perth Amboy...therfore...I'm kicking all of their butts. Yeah? Well, I was born in Long Branch. Don't make me come ovah derr and smack da sh*t outta ya.
RonJonSurfer Posted June 21, 2007 Report Posted June 21, 2007 I was just in Long Branch this past Saturday night, they've made it a rather lovely place now and the MiamiSammy statue is the cornerstone of the redevelopment project.
RonJonSurfer Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 It really captures the real you....it's stoned too.
Levis Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 Soup is Blind Melon's best album. Everyone's all Blind Melon = No Rain. But their debut album can't hold a candle to Soup for sheer brilliance. Mouthful of Cavities or St. Andrew's Fall or Walk or (shudder) Car Seat... genius!
_Laurie_ Posted June 22, 2007 Report Posted June 22, 2007 I was stuck in traffic today...traffic was backed up going both ways...so I cranked the tunes in the car...War (what is it good for) was playing.....so I was singing it out loud..the car on the other side of me had the same station on and he gave me the thumbs up...LOL...I gave thumbs up back...instead of the BADFINGER....
bluesboy Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 I put on some Eddie Cleanhead Vinson and wanted more and more.
Levis Posted June 23, 2007 Report Posted June 23, 2007 I have reached the conclusion that Urban Hymns is my favourite album of all time above and beyond any other album that exists. More than eny KS or Chili Pepper or Blind Melon or Soul Asylum album. Sure, The Verve is something like no. 4 on my favourite bands list, but that album beats out all the others by a mile. It's the only one I have that gives me such intense cravings. So much so that the songs start going around and around in my head all mixed up with each other. And I love every single track! My least favourite is Bitter Sweet Symphony and I LOVE Bitter Sweet Symphony *sigh* I love it so much it hurts!
Levis Posted June 24, 2007 Report Posted June 24, 2007 My Launchcast station knows me well: FEATURING: Bush, Kula Shaker, Alanis Morissette, U2, Stereophonics, Crash Test Dummies, Primitive Radio Gods, The Doors, Jane's Addiction, New Order, Spin Doctors
edna Posted June 25, 2007 Report Posted June 25, 2007 The instrumental part of "I´ve seen that movie too" (Elton John) sounds like Pink Floyd...

My least favourite is Bitter Sweet Symphony and I LOVE Bitter Sweet Symphony *sigh* I love it so much it hurts! I said this four days ago and I've been on a Verve kick for those four days and today I get a bulletin on Myspace saying: Date: Jun 27, 2007 3:10 AM Subject: The Verve Reunite, LP & Tour On Way Body: The Verve are set to reunite for a winter tour. The original band of Richard Ashcroft, Nick McCabe,Simon Jones and Pete Sailsbury have got together for the first time in almost a decade. In a statement, the band have announced they were: "Getting back together for the joy of the music." It is believed they will take a summer break and then return to the studio to complete their next album. The band broke up in 1999, with the tumultuous relationship between Ashcroft and McCabe being well documented with the two exiting the band repeatedly since they began in 1993. How's that, then?
Sweet Jane 61 Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 I heard Stevie Wonder on the way to work this morning. God I never tire of hearing him sing. He just makes you happy and funky all over!
blind-fitter Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 But Stevie doesn't have a great voice, does he, really? Not like ermm..Alanis Morrisette, Thom Yorke, Tupac Shakur, Bono et al.
Sweet Jane 61 Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 b-f love your wit dear! He would never make in a top voaclist list, can't see that happening!
Sweet Jane 61 Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 rayzor, do you want me to get my paddle out??? Stevie would make it near the top I have no doubt!
Rayzor Posted June 27, 2007 Report Posted June 27, 2007 I have no doubt about it either, I just like making fun of the blind, cuz they can't read my posts anyways!
Tenacious_Peaches Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 I like Amy Winehouse musically, but I cannot stand to see her. She is so skanky and nasty and trashy...she looks like she is crawling with fleas and crabs and other little critters that I can't even wrap my mind around.
