Viaene
you might get into trouble connecting the mac to the pc's in you local network. But there's a way to make windows run on a mac for easy connection with a local network. For online gaming, mac's can be as good as pc's, it's all about the processor, RAM memory and graphic card, basicly.

Farin
well, it is tedious to try online gaming with a 56K modem, or even ISDN... and some people don't have the technical options to upgrade (see chris, eg)
The Seeker
Just heard about that new Google browser which is going to be released sometime today (the beta anyway). Anyone going to try it? I am, just out of curiosity Edited September 2, 2008 by Guest
Farin
yeah, it's called "Chrome", I read about it... I don't know if I'll try, maybe once I hear a bit more btw, Microsoft released IE8 Beta recently too
The Seeker
I've only been trying it for a few minutes now, and it's borrowed a lot from Firefox and Opera. It's very fast though. And I dunno if that's just me but it won't let me scroll up using the touchpad... works fine with everything else so it's not my laptop, it really seems to be Chrome. Really annoying
skybluesky
I don't know what to think about Chrome. As far as layout, it's very sparse. I like big ole buttons and such. And I don't like that annoying box that pops up if a page is slow to load.
Levis
It's s'posed to combine the best of Opera, Fx and IE... I'm too lazy to try it right now. I have a question... or a set of related questions: How old were you when you got your wisdom teeth? Were they very painful? If you got them taken out - why? I ask cos I have one that's bothering me
_Laurie_
I was 21 when I had to have my wisdom teeth removed...when they came in they were pushing against my other back teeth, and yes it was very painful..that's why they had to come out....but they put me under when I had all four taken out at once.....It was a relief though afterwards...and I looked like a chipmunk with my swollen cheeks... Hubby doesn't have any wisdom teeth...strange huh?...I always kid him about that too...no wisdom huh?...
Mars88
I know someone who was born without wisdom teeth...the strange thing is that she married someone who had a double set. I think wisdom teeth get yanked routinely because they are more prone to decay. I would say, if they're not bothering you too much, keep them in your mouth. edna
I know someone who was born without wisdom teeth...the strange thing is that she married someone who had a double set. I had mine removed too. I guess I was 20/23 or so... first one, then one year later another, then the last two.
The Seeker
I've got two... my dentist said I could have them taken out because they're at an angle to my other teeth, but I can't even see them myself, so why bother? I'm currently getting a third one and that one's bothering me too.. ow But I'm not planning to let anyone yank them out.
Lea
I still have mine as well. I had a bit of pain as they were coming in but not enough to cause me to have them removed. I think I was also in my twenties. Try some Orajel to help relive some of the pain
Viaene
Just heard about that new Google browser which is going to be released sometime today (the beta anyway). Anyone going to try it? I am, just out of curiosity It is said to crash if you url is wrong and it contains a % And I got rid of my only 3 wisdom teeth in april 2007
The Seeker
Just tried that, and it didn't crash... I wish it'd crash so I could see that 'sad tab'. But I've stopped using it already anyway... only going to give it another try once they've fixed that scrolling up issue. Seems to happen to quite a few people. Farin
I read in the news today that they already had quite a few security issues and performance suggestions, also people wonder why google needs all the data (just like with google.com everything you do with that browser is saved by them) all in all it's not surprising that the product isn't perfect yet, after all it is a Beta version
The Seeker
I'm just surprised that there are some really obvious issues, like with the scrolling up. It took me less than a minute to notice... I'd expect more from a Beta version even. That said, I do like it, and I'm certainly going to give it another try. skybluesky
I'm using it now and it seemed to be working fine. I added the Google Accelerator, and last night it froze quite a bit. I deleted GA today and it seems to be better. I'm still not 100% satisfied and I may go back to Firefox.
Farin
I just read in the news that the German Federal Office for Information Security warns people for the use Google Chrome... 1. because they principally don't like the mass distribution of Beta versions, which are actually used for testing purposes only (the official current version is 0.2) 2. because they're concerned about the mass storage of data and the information that the browser sends to google the second reason is kinda funny if you know that the Ministry of the Interior isn't really hesitating when it comes to data storage for themselves
