experienced one Posted February 9, 2007 Report Posted February 9, 2007 Im surprised I haven't seen any Tangerine or That's The Way yet, those are two of mine. Also: Going to California No Quarter Battle of Evermore Ramble On What Is And What Should Never Be the list could go on forever...
Heard It On The XM Posted February 14, 2007 Report Posted February 14, 2007 Down By The Seaside When The Levee Breaks Bron-Y-Aur Stomp Your Time Is Gonna Come (gotta love the organ intro!)
Floydaholic Posted June 6, 2007 Report Posted June 6, 2007 I'd probably say Custard Pie. Gimme a piece o' yur custad pie!!.
Red Fish Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Living Loving Maid (She's Just A Woman) The Rover Trampled Underfoot Over The Hills and Far Away Thank You There're a few others like Tangerine (which is better certain live performances, in my opinion), but those are the main ones that stick out in my mind.
Sass Posted July 9, 2007 Report Posted July 9, 2007 My most unlikely Zep fave is The Battle Of Evermore". I have no idea why because that woman sounds terrible!
edna Posted July 10, 2007 Report Posted July 10, 2007 I´m fed up with "Stairway..." I still listen to the 1st Zepp albm very often.
dude Posted July 13, 2007 Report Posted July 13, 2007 I don't listen to them a lot, but one of my favourites is Travelling Riverside Blues. A great Robert Johnson song. Zep's 'The Lemon Song' also has some of Johnson's lyrics, word for word. As far as unlikely favorites, the Battle of Evermore has always been a favorite of mine, along with 'In my Time of Dying'
johnny Posted July 25, 2007 Report Posted July 25, 2007 For me it's "Over the Hills and Far Away", "Going To California" (oh, and nothing sounds better when your actually going to California) & my all time favourite "Ten Years Gone". I can't believe nobody has said that yet....
ZenGarden Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 "the Rover" "Ozone baby" "the girl i love she got long wavy black hair" "Royal Orleans" so hard to pick.. so many good songs
Super Ry 71 Posted September 17, 2007 Report Posted September 17, 2007 I still listen to the 1st Zepp alb(u)m very often. That's their only album I own, and my favorite! Lotsa blues riffs and goodies and such! 'You Shook Me' is underrated as a song and has some good, gruff blues on it. And welcome to the boards Garden!
TW Taylor Posted December 13, 2007 Report Posted December 13, 2007 Hmm...that's kind of hard. Your Time Is Gonna Come How Many More Times The Lemon Song Thank You (not a favorite, but it rarely ever gets mentioned anywhere or played on the radio) Celebration Day Out On The Tiles That's The Way No Quarter The Rover In The Light Down By The Seaside Night Flight For Your Life Tea For One Carouselambra There's certainly more though.
ledjam9 Posted December 19, 2007 Report Posted December 19, 2007 Here are some of my unlikely favorites: Ten Years Gone Black Country Woman Nobody's Fault But Mine Carouselambra Celebration Day Out on the Tiles Friends
