Farin
^ hey Fintan, you didn't mention that the songs shouldn't be in the Daily/Weekly Top Ten too... but that are mostly the same all the time, so no problem I think

Uncle Joe
1-Drowning In A Sea Of Love - Joe Simon (feel his pain....soul to spare) 2-Warm Love - Van Morrison (it's ever present, everywhere) 3-River - Joni Mitchell (check out the version by Kenny Lattimore-Awesome) 4-Gimme Some Lovin' - Spencer Davis Group (Stevie Winwood was 16 when he recorded this...the boy was motivated) 5-Evil Woman - Electric Light Orchestra (Jeff didn't really mean it) 6-Way It Is, The - Bruce Hornsby & The Range (with a lil Bonnie Raitt thrown in) 7-Do It Again - Steely Dan (and again and again) 8-(We're gonna) Rock Around the Clock - Bill Haley and his Comets (Rock History 101) 9-Lovin' Touchin' Squeezin' - Journey (sounding like Sam Cooke) 10-Redneck Friend - Jackson Browne (Would've been my teen-age anthem if it had come out 20 years earlier) Toughest list in the past few weeks for me. OLD 55
PROPHETIC QUOTE FROM TOP TEN #37. I think the keyboard's the best part of all 8 1/2 minutes plus of "Won't Get Fooled Again" (WGFA). Let's see what happens when I nominate "Happy Jack". At 2 minutes 10 seconds it'll probably only get a quarter of the votes that WGFA does. For private psychic readings, please contact me. Special Normally $100 US, 10% Discount to Songfactors. That may sound expensive, but it's only a Medium price.

OLD 55
Mmmmmmmmmmm.................going into trance..... My son, as only you and Judo will vote for it, I predict 17 ! That'll be $25.00 U.S. Dappled. Sorry - $22.50 with your Songfacts disccount - call it $20.00. I'm just an old softie. That song was a #1 Hit in 1927 for a popular singer of that time, Gene Austin. How would I know that if I wasn't a genuine Medium? (No extra charge).

OLD 55
Our $ is very strong against the US$ Kevin, even though two of your racehorses took $3.75 million from us last Tuesday in the Melbourne Cup. Dappled, I'll waive the fee, because it was 1928 that Ramona was first #1. Another Batchelors' cover, Charmaine, was #1 in 1927. Who needs Google when I have my beloved books ! Of course, there's probably not too many people besides me who'd want to know what was #1 almost 80 years ago. You'd be surprised at how many songs from that era have been brought back and become Hits for other artists.
Kevin
It'll get #1 amongst the drunken and sentimental Irish crowd here ... I mean out there !
OLD 55
Danny Boy was adapted from the Irish folk song "Londonderry Air" in the 19th Century, Dappled. Sorry, my books don't go back that far.
Kevin
Our $ is very strong against the US$ Kevin Oh ,I know - I was just suddenly sentimental for 15 years ago and even more recently when the Yen had the following rates : US$= .90 Can$ = .75 Aus$ = .65 NZ $ = Ahhh ! River - Joni Mitchell (A Christmas song, sort of, and I love it) 4. Gimme Some Lovin' - Spencer Davis Group (Would you believe I played with Spencer Davis once? Only for 5 minutes, but still!) 5. His band is Sky High) 6. Love And Only Love - Neil Young (Beautiful message, beautiful song) 7. Take a Heart - The Sorrows (I bought the album on Christmas eve in 1965) 8.
